His performances often last three hours, yet feel like just one track due to their extreme depth, calm restraint, and perfect balance of strength and delicacy. This meticulous Japanese spirit ensures everything is as it should be, earning him the reputation of a "resilient and highly fluid" electronic maestro. Igarashi describes his unique sound as "cosmic drama," blending dense, highly crystallized rhythms with psychedelic tones. His crystalline sound and masterful control over rhythm, with his signature fast-paced arpeggios, stand out on the dance floor, creating a continuous dancing experience.

His productions are meticulously crafted for maximum impact, reflecting a certain Japanese aesthetic. After moving to New York in 2015, the Vietnamese-American sound artist and X-XTRA.SERVICES founder became one of BASEMENT's first residents; the scene built around the revered Queens club has helped nurture their adventurous sound. Lately they've been making waves beyond North America, playing with the MARICAS crew in Barcelona and locking down slots at De School, Bassiani and Draaimolen.

A short decade ago, Galcher Lustwerk seemed to come full speed out of obscurity with a moment defining mix that landed him and his sound at the centre of everyone’s attention. 100% Galcher was a blend of his unreleased works, borrowing from the alternative Americana of midwestern house and urban focused hip-hop, as well as another of his motherland’s key exports: film. The Cleveland native subsequently pushed that vision and its variants further with releases on Tsuba and the founding of label Lustwerk Music, as well as releases under aliases Road Hog, The Fock, Macchiatto, 420 and Power User; the pandemic didn’t slow him down either, with another batch of releases that spanned both rap and ambient with equal skill. A polyglot when it comes to musical genre: for most there’s a little daylight between hip-hop and electronic music, but for Galcher the two are at the vanguard of new sounds, genres united in a constant push into the unknown and discovery of the new, a key modus in his creative process. If any of this is difficult to envision, think lo-fi melodies and velvet smooth house with his very own voice thrown in, a dreamy patchwork of inspirations that are given form by his limitless innovation and nerd-level turnover of hardware. Bassiani Podcast 224 is a four-hour whopper recorded live at Horoom, the DJ/producer’s usual antics in more danceable format, laid back house and a measure of the ‘noodly’ jazz sounds he’s known for, with the supporting role of a driving bassline. Always the best vibes when Amanda plays. After numerous apperances at IsBurning, it’s now time for a podcast, combining the sounds of techno, acid, breaks and house. São Paulo based DJ, producer and label/agency boss Amanda Mussi works hard to bring something fresh to the dancefloor. 

This mix is a great example of combining sounds and bringing something fresh, mostly known for her technosets. For the podcast she’s starting with dubby chords, lurking us in to some sleezy house, with acid influences. Everytime you think you’ll get the direction, she misleads you in the most funky danceable way. 

Track highlight: 
Devoye - Radius Clause - Carry Nation Compilation [Nervous Records]
This track has such a nostalgic jackin vibe from NYC's house music and reminds me how great the scene is there, Devoye is a talented nice guy and this was released in a compilation curated by The Carry Nation, which are true legends from there, in Nervous Records which is one of the oldest NYC's record labels, since the 90's. This tune is sassy and fun, yet badass, one of my favorites from last year.

With a very unique approach to genre. Made a feel good mix with tracks that are heavily influenced by House along with some expressive vocals. While maintaining the psychedelic and driving sounds she pushes.

Track Highlight:

"Get Up On This" by Isaiah is a track that I've played out several times and it's gotten huge responses on a variety of dancefloors. I've played it for both serious Techno crowds and more multi-genre -mixed ones. The result has been the same, Pure Joy and tons of dancing. I love that it feels like a House cut but is written at 140 BPM.
