A producer with great reputation and good taste with his productions full of good rhythm and his great talent for mixing different styles of House, who has worked with well-known top labels such as Soma Recordings, Toolroom, Rennaisance, Black Hole, Stereo and many but, as you can see in his biography. Many years of great work dedicated to music make this collaboration a great finishing touch for me, to close the year on this channel, with a hypnotic collaboration that I hope you like and enjoy all the time. UK based DJ producer and owner of several labels, including Moxi Records, Ambiosphere Recordings, New Era Recordings, Cubic Records, Progress Recordings, Shiva Records and Telepathy. He has performed and Dj’d in over 40 countries, and has produced countless releases and remixes on over 100 labels worldwide under at least 40 different aliases over a 30 year period, as well as working on many collaborations, including The Producers with Alan Barratt and Red Moon with DJ Hal. Labels Tony has released with over the years include Soma Recordings, Toolroom, Rennaisance, Black Hole, Stereo Productions, End Recordings, Hooj Tunes, Loaded, Subliminal, Serious, Wave Recordings, Electrik Soul Recordings and the list goes on and on !

BSV: Hello there and thanks for the submission! How did you find us? Google of your “Resilient” track maybe? 😉
ES.KA: I know your channel for a long time since we are supporting each other and l thought it would be a great opportunity to promote new project “Above Us“ 🙂

BSV: From progressive to melodic techno, from dark to hard techno. What’s your range in electronic music?
ES.KA: For my single project it’s something between melodic techno and peak time techno. Above Us aims for a more melodic and deeper sound like I used to play some years ago.

BSV: If we listen your production, it translates into “Eyes Wide Shut” feeling (sounds from the movie). That was your goal?
ES.KA: /

BSV: Tell us something about Illusions @ Haus33. What’s the concept?
ES.KA: Illusions is a melodic techno / peak time techno event which distinguish itself from other events at Haus33 by sticking to slower styles of techno instead of playing mostly hard techno like other events do.  

BSV: We found the info on Beatport about your first ever track (2021). How did you get in electronic music? When was that?
ES.KA: I started DJing 6 years ago in melodic and deep techno genre. In 2021 I decided that I want to make my own music which I can perform in clubs.

BSV: What’s behind your DJ duo artist name (meaning)?
ES.KA: It conveys the meaning that the music is always above us. We found that it has a good sound to it and we we're aiming for a two word name.

BSV: Is there maybe some interesting story about how you guys decided to do music together? Let us know about your long term goals…
ES.KA: The funny thing is that we know each other since we were kids. Didn't have contact at all for about 25 years and figured out that we are both into electronic music. Each of us in own project. So we decided to create something together. Long term goals would be getting in touch and getting collabs with more established artists and playing more shows.

Krzysztof Sobecki znany jako Fox pochodzi z Ostrowa Wielkopolskiego. Swoją przygodę z muzyką zaczął w szkole podstawowej w szkolny radiowęźle,natomiast pierwsze kroki za konsoletą w klubie stawiał w wieku 17 lat. Kilka lat później został rezydentem klubu Diament w Twardogórze.W kolejnym etapie Fox-a były wyjazdy do Anglii na kilka lat a także do Holandii gdzie obecnie mieszka.Fox pojawiał się za konsoletą w UK i oczywiście w wielu klubach w Holandii gdzie również był rezydentem w Klubie OD w Noordwijk aaz Zee. Na swoim koncie ma też występy na festiwalach Summer City Festival w Gdańsku 2012 rok i Electrocity Festival w Lubiążu 2013 rok. Fox ma również swoje cotygodniowe wideo sety Foxselection na swoich social mediach i platformach muzycznych. 

Krzysztof Sobecki, known as Fox, comes from Ostrów Wielkopolski. He started his adventure with music in primary school in the school radio station, and he took his first steps behind the console in a club at the age of 17. A few years later, he became a resident of the Diament club in Twardogóra. Fox's next stage included trips to England for several years and also to the Netherlands, where he currently lives. Fox appeared behind the console in the UK and, of course, in many clubs in the Netherlands, where he was also a resident in Club OD in Noordwijk aaz Zee. He also performed at the Summer City Festival in Gdańsk in 2012 and the Electrocity Festival in Lubiąż in 2013. Fox also has weekly Foxselection video sets on its social media and music platforms.

BSV: Hello Hennadii! How are you? How was your day?
DJ MOTION: Hi! I’m in such a great mood today! It’s sunny in Berlin, which is quite rare!

BSV: Tell us something about your roots. Where are you from and how did you get into electronic music?
DJ MOTION: I am originally from Ukraine and have been passionate about music since childhood. In 2007, I embarked on my journey as a DJ. My tastes have evolved several times - from the Minimal and Electro of those times to modern Afro House, Melodic House, and Downtempo. But one thing has always remained unchanged - my place behind the decks. It’s a kind of drug, albeit a legal one, but just as hard to give up.

BSV: About your mixing routine, how do you get all of these smooth transitions?  Do you practice a lot?
DJ MOTION: I think it’s like learning to ride a bike. Once you’ve learned, it’s impossible to forget. But you’re right - there’s always room to grow. You need to practice and improve. A lot depends on what kind of DJ you are. If you’re an underground DJ, you’ll never bother with scratching, word play, tone play, and all that. But in any case, you should at least have a general understanding and try different mixing techniques for self-development. I believe the main secret isn’t even in practice, but in track selection and sorting by key - this is the key to a great mix.

BSV: We notice that you are currently in a “progressive” state of mind and we want to know more about your evolving process of changing musical genres.
DJ MOTION: Thank you for an interesting question. I think that tastes change with age. At first, you try to follow general trends, discovering more and more new things around you. But only with time and experience do you come to understand what your soul truly desires. I believe this is the main reason why DJs change the genres they work with.

BSV: You are a Berlin based artist. Is it easier for you to get some gigs and to play music to the “right” people?
DJ MOTION: I don’t think the number of gigs depends on the city you’re in. Rather, it depends on how many connections you have in that city, especially in the club scene. Without them, getting behind the decks at a venue is quite a challenge. Nevertheless, despite my relatively short time here, I have already gotten to know the local club culture and had the opportunity to perform several times for the right people you’re talking about. I continue working on integrating into the local club scene. And those who work toward a goal always achieve results. That’s why I’m confident in the success of what I’ve started.

BSV: Your favorite track/artist at the moment?
DJ MOTION: Unfortunately, I can’t give you a definitive answer to this question because I don’t have one favorite track or one favorite artist. I listen to a lot of music, so it’s impossible for me to choose just one and call it the main one. I think you understand me.

BSV: Are you familiar with some DAW?
DJ MOTION: Yes, during my practice, I had the chance to work with Logic Pro and Ableton Live. I think these are some of the most popular software programs in the DJing sphere, but I feel they are more suited for sound producers, and I don’t consider myself one - at least not yet. I do plan to dive into this new and exciting world for myself, but that will be a completely different story.

BSV: Hey buddy, how is the rhythm of your day playing so far?
DALKIO: Pretty hectic, to be honest. But it’s that good kind of hustle, you know… Between the studio, a few meetings, and a strong coffee in the afternoon. When there’s music involved, everything just flows better.

BSV: A few of our upcoming releases will carry your name as the composer - Marlon Dalavechia. Feels exciting, doesn’t it?       
DALKIO: Definitely! It’s really rewarding to see my name on something I truly believe in and built with care. I’ve always had a personal connection with every sound I create, so seeing it out there is a unique feeling.

BSV: Tell us more about your connection with Eduardo Drumn. Are you often together in the studio?
DALKIO: Yes! Edu is like a brother. We connect really well both musically and personally. We have a similar vibe in the studio and a lot of mutual respect for each other’s creative space, so good things always happen when we work together.

BSV: Is there some kind of introspection when it comes to your production? We are just curious… 😉
DALKIO: Absolutely. Producing is almost like a therapy for me. A lot of times I start a track just trying to express something I can’t even explain. And during the process, I end up understanding more about myself.

BSV: Do you have idols or a referent sound that you always wanted to merge into your wavs?    
DALKIO: So many! I listen to all kinds of music, but I’ve always had a thing for artists like Four Tet, Bonobo, and more recently, Âme. I really love that mix of organic textures with electronic beats. I try to bring a bit of that into my own sound.

BSV: If you can describe one of your days without music in it, what kind of day would that be?
DALKIO: Kind of gray, to be honest. I think music is in everything I do, even when I don’t notice it. A day without music would be too quiet, maybe too introspective. I’d probably end up putting on a soundtrack at some point, even if just in my headphones.

BSV: What’s the story behind your artist name?
DALKIO: It’s a play on my last name, Dalavechia, mixed with a kind of futuristic vibe I’ve always liked. I wanted something that sounds electronic but still has a unique identity. Dalkio came naturally after a few weird attempts.

BSV: Hello Srdjan! We first crossed paths almost ten years ago during a remix competition for one of your releases. Looking back now, how do you reflect on that moment and the journey since then?       
THIAN: It has certainly been a long journey. In the meantime, I became a father, and many aspects of my life changed. Musically, however, I remained very active. I worked on numerous projects, performed at gigs, released music, and collaborated with different artists. At that time, I had already been involved in music for more than 15 years, with a primary focus on DJ-ing. Parallel to this, I co-founded a record label - @insteadrec together with my friend Carsten aka @thane-percu. Through the label, we had the opportunity to collaborate with many artists, including yourself. I was also having my resident night - Thian & Friends at various locations, and was actively involved with the Berlin collective Synthesis, where we organized projects and events and produced remixes for some of the most respected names in the scene, such as @samuel-l-session and @funkdvoid. In addition, I worked on an official remix for @dave-the-drummer for another German label, which will soon be out. Looking back, I never would have imagined things would progress as far as they have.

BSV: We’ve heard that, once upon a time, you were a passionate skateboarder. How has that experience shaped or influenced your path in electronic music?
THIAN: I essentially grew up as a skateboarder. Instead of spending time at home, we gathered at Mimara, a well-known spot in Zagreb. Skateboarding was never just a sport, it was a lifestyle, a community, and a way of seeing the world. We traveled to neighboring countries for contests and explored different skateparks as teenagers. Skateboarding taught me a DIY approach to life, and that mindset continues to help me today, especially when I was organizing my first parties, where improvisation was often necessary. Many skateboarders eventually move into creative fields such as music and visual arts. My first release was with Ishek, a drummer and a friend from my skateboarding days. When you dedicate yourself so deeply to something while growing up, it becomes an inseparable part of who you are.

BSV: Is it true that back in the days, you had to disassemble a gramophone, piece by piece, at the border in order to carry it across?
THIAN: That’s absolutely true. When I was growing up in Croatia, the EU was much smaller, and my country wasn’t yet a member. To get better prices on vinyl records and music equipment, we often traveled to Germany or Austria and smuggled things back home. I usually hid items under the front seats and did my best to look confident when crossing the border, especially if officers asked if I had anything to declare. Luckily, I never got caught, thanks to my “acting skills,” I guess.

BSV: A lot of experience behind you. Tell us a little bit more about your early beginnings in DJ-ing. 
THIAN: My DJ career began when my skateboarding journey came to an end. Around 1994, after competing in a contest in Budapest, I returned to Croatia feeling disappointed by how far behind our skateboarding scene was compared to theirs. That loss of motivation coincided with my growing passion for music. Even while skateboarding, a few of us had tried forming a band and held some jam sessions, though nothing serious came of it. BSV: Hello Mert! Hope you are all good. How is your day going so far?     
MERT BATIGÜN: Hi there. Lately, most of my days are spent organizing my music archive, listening to promos, playing music at the club, and working out.

BSV: I was introduced to your music in 2015 while listening to your very first release for our common label. I really liked your vibe with the “Fellings” track. What’s your perspective on it, a decade later?       
MERT BATIGÜN: While producing the track “Feelings,” I was going through a period where I was struggling and feeling lonely within the music industry. I still play this track at the end of my sets from time to time.

BSV: Is there some kind of connection between your running discipline and your music journey? We are just curious.    
MERT BATIGÜN: I started running purely to clear my mind. It also positively affected my production. I’d call it a free doping for mental health, and I recommend it to everyone.

BSV: During weekends, you are busy performing in clubs of Istanbul. How would you describe the energy and character of the local crowd?        
MERT BATIGÜN: Most of the people who go out in Istanbul are very knowledgeable about music. They can really have certain expectations. While playing, you definitely need to watch the crowd. Most of the time, we steer the flow of the night together with the audience, which makes it both enjoyable and exciting.

BSV: Just like your first release, a special combination of techno and deep house, perfectly blended. Is that your scope of work?          
MERT BATIGÜN: Lately, indie sounds have become trendy again. I’m blending disco and indie dance styles. And of course, the night always continues with techno 🙂

The prolific Spanish powerhouse Espacio Cielo continues its impressive run with its 91st offering, this time from the talented and versatile Avar Garden. Hailing from Malaga, the producer presents an EP that feels both meticulously constructed and intuitively raw. Across two original compositions and two reworks from Leonor (SXDNS034) and Mundo D, Avar Garden maps a landscape of hypnotic rhythms and compellingly rough-hewn textures. The foundation of the project is the title piece, “Vertigo,” a track conceived during the profound hours of Madrid’s night. It draws direct inspiration from the legendary Sala Vértigo, serving as a genuine tribute to those sacred spaces where the pulse of club culture continues to beat long after the rest of the city has fallen silent.

Premiered here, Leonor’s remix takes the theme and steers it onto an entirely new path. The Mexican virtuoso, in reimagining the track, homes in on the very physical sensation the title suggests – a dizzying, exhilarating loss of balance on the dance floor. Where the original might embody the hazy, emotional weight of a night reaching its peak, Leonor’s version, with its Post-Punk/Synthpop dash, is the moment you surrender to the motion. He pares down the atmospheric layers to expose a driving, insistent rhythm section that feels both mechanical and deeply human. The melodic elements are refined into sharper, more repetitive hooks that wrap around the listener, creating a compelling, almost circular momentum. Leonor’s rework fundamentally alters the track's gravity, pulling it from a state of reflective immersion toward a relentless, centrifugal force that captures the true, disorienting thrill of its namesake.
