Naviar Broadcast #383 –  Star above the peak – Wednesday 15th October 2025

We dont really have many "songs" or even permanent sketches that we flesh out live. Most gigs its all off the cuff. so its nice and odd for us to present an actual song with a title that we kind of play the same notes/riffs when ever w do it. Invented on a freezing night at an outdoor festival a couple of years ago .. warning - potential stoner rock like fuzz bass lines : )

New Album title track - JOY AS A THREAT

my music pretty much always comes out creepy, so didnt have to try too hard
theres a kind of peaceful quality to this but theres a creeping unsettling dread i think (i like that idea of hell: very slowly recognizing that somethings not right) it sounds a bit like toothache to me for some reason too

this is an old bass guitar recording. slowed down a few times in audacity for that woozy atonal sound, high frequency reverb, echo and amplified the slides
