We are thrilled to unleash this mix by Masha into the world, and what a thrill it is! Hailing from France via Naarm, the now Stockholm-based DJ always aspires to surprise through music. Never serious, always tongue-in-cheek and bedroom dance-ready, her mixes blend all things fast, percussive, and playful (read: funny). Think tempo changes and the occasional gabber to keep you on your toes and pull you out of your slumber. This mix resonated with her and her insatiable desire for madness and disorder.

You may know of Marie through her work with Cool Room, her Skylab show ‘Carefree’, or through bumping into her on one of the many dancefloors this vibrant party qween has graced. Her ability to inspire and uplift those around her is truly a gift, and although we miss her presence here in Naarm, we are super excited to see where her European ventures take her!

Onze eigen Laurens aka Conduct Disorder is de nummer 10 op onze podcast series. De sprinkhaan die altijd vooraan staat heeft de afgelopen jaren lopen oefenen op zijn zolderkamer en niet zonder succes!!! 

“Al een goed aantal jaren ben ik altijd springend, joelend en juichend in de club te vinden. Sinds ik naar Deventer verhuisde heb ik m’n aansluiting gevonden bij de Nachtparlement-familie en hebben ze mij omarmd als vaste gast, danser en vriend. Ook bij Nachtparlement kon ik in de clubnachten de opgekropte energie van de week er helemaal uitgooien.

Een andere manier om m’n energie en enthousiasme te uiten is door muziek te draaien. Dit doe ik al ongeveer 4 jaar en sinds een jaartje ben ik het wat serieuzer gaan nemen, wat dieper in de geschiedenis van verschillende subgenres gedoken en m’n muzikale kennis verbreed. Muziek draaien is voor mij de leukste manier om tracks die ik zelf heel vet vind te delen met anderen. In deze podcast heb ik geprobeerd een mix in elkaar te zetten die groovy en energieke tracks bevat van de genres die ik zelf het vetst vind. 

In deze podcast zit een mix van garage, breakbeat, electro, jungle, en alles wat daar tussen in zit. Toen ik hem opnam waren de clubs nog gesloten dus ik heb geprobeerd het club-gevoel na te bootsen met de muziek die in de mix zit. Hopelijk zien we elkaar allemaal zo snel mogelijk terug op de eerstvolgende Nachtparlement fissa!”

For the fourth instalment of our mix series, we are blessed to present Naarm angel Lazy Susan.

In her own words:

Lazy Susan dives deep as a DJ - an expert in extracting our most erotic desires of dance and delight. She believes every moment and mood deserves its own unique groove and this philosophy has her swimming in an eclectic pool of sounds, constantly finding new perspectives which challenge and serve. 

She relishes in percussive patterns and deep microhouse grooves, favouring sounds from last century for their attentive production and minimal intervention. The result of her reverence towards music is carefully curated mixes that hit hard.

It’s always about the journey for this hot dog and this mix is no exception. First gently with a contagious minimal thump, towards an embracing kick which quickens the heart like a morning coffee, then picking up and slapping hard, flavoured with notes of Scandinavian psy and landing in a delicious pool of 20th century progressive trance.

Strap in and take a load off.

Resonance mix 004: Lazy Susan

From the fiery depths of yet another weary Naarm lockdown, Resonance invites you to sanguinely reminisce the dance floor amidst the hopeful turn of Spring with the fifth instalment to our mix series: presenting Slick Calf of @Unrestricted_Purpose. 

The Naarm-based DJ has been keeping himself busy in and out of lockdowns; curating Unrestricted Purpose events at Colour & The Rochester, Thank You Bar Takeovers, and most recently the third instalment of their mix series. To top this off he has also deftly forged some other appetising mixes for Naarm's independent online radio @Area3000.

For the next hour and 22 minutes, strap yourself in for some of Slick Calf's old and new dancefloor favourites - a mixture of deep house, electro and breaks sprinkled with some trancey progressive sensuality.

Expertly blending techno, electro, breaks, and a healthy dose of attitude in one smoking hot hour, we are delighted to share Angela’s mix as the first of the Resonance series.
