From the San Francisco Bay Area.. grew up around the emerging scene of independent hip hop and open mic slam poetry where i became a huge fan during its peak in the late 90's.  So I have a west coast/ fresh coast bias, but I'm a fan of many artists in and outside of hip hop all around the map.  What I'm bringing to the table here is music that needs to be rediscovered and their messages understood because I'm more than fed up with the direction mainstream hip hop has been going in the past few decades.  I believe in artists that are trying to take their culture back from the corporate system that's been manipulating the music industry.  Since we are living in interesting and hard times, the mixes I'm making are very selective in regards to certain themes concerning our world, spirit, politriks, society, Natural Law and the oligarchy/occultocracy systems of control.  For me hip hop portrays these types of ideas and issues in many forms and resonates with me profoundly on so many levels.  The very raw, lyrical poetic approach you get from more independent label artists leaves a more deeper impression of their values and street knowledge.  I like to think of some of these cats who are in tune with reality represent, in a sense, street reporters in rhyme form over beats.  I want to be able to play this kind of music and give big credit to the makers of it and hope people who listen to it will support these artists because the albums these tracks are picked from are worth their weight in gold for the most part.  I take no credit for what I play here- I'm not even a "real" DJ, but I got good taste in music and want to share that with people to help elevate consciousness.  This music will speak for itself and that's what matters!
