Earth organically pushes out what it doesn't need to survive, it can predict the future by medicating itself and touching its own pulse. Wait, how many millennia I have left? It reorganizes itself and naturally goes back to its original form when left alone. Man is the first of this planet's creation that farmed 8.7 million other species, including its own. One gigantic rock, surrounded by gas, with layers of plant and tree furs that cover its mountains, textures of the sandy desert where you find microdust, and 71% of it is covered by water that hydrates every plant furs and all the other creatures that live inside it like termites and lice. This natural order of things keeps one of the living planet not turn into Saturn or Uranus. An astrobiologist takes a scorpion, change its natural ecology, and voila! You have a totally different planet altogether, probably not led by mutations of Christian Missionaries, whose ships sails proudly in a song of everything 'new', an ideology which is, technically, 2,000 years old. It is not really a 'different one' anymore as they all think it is, this modern and popular opinion is not as old as Buddha or Valhalla, but it is not new or young too as its main selling point. Egyptians worships cats for 3,000 years now, but there are there are other animals with different textures that can be beautiful not totally Egyptian or human? But if you change the dynamics and body parts of a scorpion, in few centuries will it still be scorpion, or like the lion to a simple house cat, it will be totally a different world? Where humans doesn't look 'Italian-pleasing' or 'Roman-Greek eye-candy'? But more Aztec-Mayan aspirations? An archaic civilization wiped-out without any alphabets but childlike hieroglyphics, they clearly just made it up as they go along? Not just another Alexander the Great or Naked David? Anything, anything at all? To be a part of something tried and tested for the known human centuries or something in the textures of scorpions not entirely human or primate, an Earthling with a telson (venom bulb) where you can gently massage in any laboratories and extract its venom and place in bottles and cure human cancer, it also have other body parts too, its aculeus (stinger), its cephalathorax, ophisthoma, metasomal, pedipalps (pincers), of course it also have the basic human-like parts, eyes, legs and mouth too... two eyes on top and two to five lateral eyes along each side (as many as five pairs), don't forget its tough exoskeleton made of chitin, in all colors of the rainbow. Sexy enough for you primates?

About this edit :
This past year I’ve fallen in love with some old musica andina from Uruguay, including the famous duos Los Olimareños and Los Hacheros.  This beautiful song with its haunting harmonies lodged itself in my head immediately…I gave it a slow house revision with cumbia percussion and added some shimmering synths to complement the original strings.

I love this song originally composed by Carlos Puebla. There is many versions of "Hasta Siempre" and was hard to decide witch one to edit but this one interpreted by Oscar Chavez has an amazing rhythm and vibe. 

The lyrics speak about the Cuban people saying goodbye to Che Guevara after he was captured and killed in Bolivia.

The photo was taken by myself in Vallegrande, Bolivia, where his body was presented to the media and photographers a day after being killed in La Higuera. Is a mural in one of the walls of the hospital's laundry, where the famous photo of Ernesto Guevara's body was taken.

This time we travel to Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) to discover an amazing artist. Pedro Laza was a musician and composer that after working in different musical projects started a band called ¨Sonora Pelayera¨ in honour to the town San Pelayo witch was the epicentre of the music style ¨Porros and Fandangos¨. This variations of ¨Cumbia¨ were the main generes performed by the band and the national music styles by this time in Colombia. 

The name of the band would change after to ¨Pedro Laza y sus Pelayeros¨. The band left a massive influence in the new generation of folklore bands that would take the lead in the next decades.
