I've received many requests to craft sonic journeys for unique events, but a Baby Blessing Ecstatic Dance was a first! 

Friends and ecstatic dancers Heather and Dustin invited the community to gather for a full-day baby blessing in the little village of Procter just outside Nelson, BC. The opening ritual? An Apukuna ecstatic dance. Yeow!!!

I took the invitation a little further than expected (hehe)... designing a journey through music and movement that tells a story of love, conception, birth, and life. 

If you listen -- and move -- closely, you might just hear the arc unfold: hidden love, falling in love, sensuality, conception, fertilization, the magic within the womb, labor, birth, celebration, joy, and finally a blessing for life, for mothers, and for mama Gaia. All woven into one Ecstatic Dance!

Maybe for you, if not a literal birth, perhaps this is a dance to follow your own journey of something new that is being born in your life, or is wishing to be. A dream. A new path. A new way of seeing who you are. How might you use this dance to embody the journey, or prepare for it.

As always, this is a movement. a meditation, and a prayer for an awakening heart. 

Offered in reverence to all of life and to Heather, Dustin and their little girl arriving soon. And offered to YOU!

Leültem magamnak énekelni egy olyan napon amikor kibillent az egészségem. Elsősorban magamnak vettem fel, hogy hallgassam. Aztán megosztottam a párommal majd néhány olyan közeli baráttal akiknél úgy éreztem érezni fogják a dalt. 

Ritkén éneklek szöveggel. De itt valahogy bíztam abban, hogy vezetve vagyok és, hogy ez segíteni fogja a gyógyulásom. 

Úgy éreztem megosztom ezt a nyers felvételt, hátha még másnak is ad ez a dal valamit.

@matiakalli felt inspired to record an acoustic, raw, and intimate version of Cura Corazón for her upcoming album 'Heart Songs'. This version is deeply interactive and creates space for connection through shared voice and prayer. It has been carried through ceremonial spaces over the last few years and is now making its release with Resueño.

An offering of breath and song, in gratitude for Pachamama and all that sustains us.

We are here to unite. The intention of Resueño is to bring artists together to create something which alone would not be possible.
