After the legendary @mazeguider, the extraordinary @biisshopp, and following the amazing @cacadora, I performed this potent breaks, dubstep and future garage closing set. 

It's not perfect, please overlook the little errors ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  ..I am overall pretty proud of how it came together; it holds some of my favorite dance musics of recent that I've been collecting and playing here and there when possible, but not posting, until now!

Enjoy this Journey through a dynamic range of adventurous breaks and dubstep; a late-night storytelling odyssey and full featured flight path including a wind-down and landing with some Future Garage and a closing song.

There are just a couple of parties that I play enough times to make a completely specific set for each time, and make it my absolute best.

One is Lightning in a Bottle, which I'm not a resident of but have played 7 of the last 8 fests.

I've prepared for many different time slots at LIB, always looking at this large and spectacular festival as one where people primarily want to dance and have fun.

So I ramp up my funk and vocals (usually playful but i did have one protest lyric in this year's - you can't miss it).  

I lean on the uplifting side, spend a lot of time choosing music and organizing a playlist so i can play appropriately for my time slot and come back thinking it was one of the best sets I've ever played.  

Something that was different for me this year is I took a year and a half off from buying new music prior to LIB in order to reporganize my collection, which now spans 30 years.

Sometimes it's better to understand better what you already have before adding to a massive music collection.

But I never intended my break to be that long!  It just kept going.  And I had a couple of hard drive farts in the middle which didn't help.  

But anyway,  I started buying music again about two months ahead of LIB because I wanted to play an all new music set,  and I also wanted to to  take the time to understand the new music very well.

The problem with playing all new music at a gig is that I don't always take the time to understand it well enough to know if it's as good as the music I already have.  It's fun because it's new... but is it really adding something?

So this time I really took the time to select tracks - I was picky AF!  
This time I spent a lot of time also to play with my tracks, mix them in different ways and really try to only include tracks that were blowing my mind, so that I could give that to the dance floor.

Also spent a lot of time on tagging producers in this description - hope it helps you to discover some great new artists and music!

I've been sitting on this recording for months now because this night was almost too magical to put into the interwebs. This is my 1.5hr opening set for @tycho at Public Works SF back in April '25. 

so here we are, uh ...many...months...later... ;) 

thank you to the public works family for having me back out – i love warming up a dancefloor as an opening DJ to set the tone, & continuing to learn the art of ~opening for artists that have wildly impacted your own creative path~.

Torie – Live @ Tycho, Public Works SF – April 2025

My first sunrise set at Burning Man – performed on the Shortwave mobile sound experience. A mix of tech-house, drum and bass and some real pretty house tracks. 

We spent most of our DJ coins just getting Shortwave to the Playa so I was less prepared for this set than I would have liked. And since we did zero promotion not that many folks got to hear it – but the ones that did were pretty enthusiastic about it, so I hope you enjoy it as much as they did.

It starts strong but finishes up sweet and easy. At one point I stepped on the party gas and it felt like the pedal was stuck and I wasn’t sure how I would ease off in time for the sunrise – but I got there in the end.

This year ESD Camp 9 (best known as "Medical") had a daily happy hour in their lounge from 4-6.  Fishbone and Jessica invited me to play and I wasn't initially sure what to expect, but I love it there!! I am so down to do this every year. Sup ya’ll. Here’s my sunrise set that was recorded live at Burning Man 2025 on the golden Gate artcar on Wednesday through to Thursday morning. This was one of my most special moments of the whole week at the burn. Thanks to all who came to support. As always this set is completely improvise except this time not much/any sleep was had. Had the absolute honour and pleasure to play Blossom once more. This time in the beautiful Garden Stage! Deep in the forest with all the majesty of a psychedelic teddy bear's picnic! Kudos to the entire team involved and behind the design and finesse!

Early morning business, this set was from deep within my soul. Showcasing a story of my past months and beyond! Plenty of emotion and the odd tear... how else would you want art!
