After the legendary @mazeguider, the extraordinary @biisshopp, and following the amazing @cacadora, I performed this potent breaks, dubstep and future garage closing set. 

It's not perfect, please overlook the little errors ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  ..I am overall pretty proud of how it came together; it holds some of my favorite dance musics of recent that I've been collecting and playing here and there when possible, but not posting, until now!

Enjoy this Journey through a dynamic range of adventurous breaks and dubstep; a late-night storytelling odyssey and full featured flight path including a wind-down and landing with some Future Garage and a closing song.

We were blessed to have a gathering of dear friends and soul family who we put to work all day, and then made to dance all night celebrating the one and only @Cacadora!  it was an absolute blast, I am so grateful to everyone for their generous contributions of time and energy - we have the best friends!

This is a recording of the set I played; techno, dembow, ukg, progressive, trance and breaks inspired multi-gerne mash-up - which I've been told is not "all-over-the-place" ;)

Saturday closing set @ The Abyss, Underland 2025

The Saturday night closer at The Abyss — a back-to-back between MATTATTAT & KANUK — brought full-send chaos and energy to the dancefloor. Starting at 140 BPM, the set built pressure with heavy basslines and rolling grooves before detonating into relentless drum & bass.

This was the final ritual of the night: a 90-minute surge of peak-time energy, rave mayhem, and unfiltered send-it vibes.

Hey guys! This is my recording from the annual Blossom Festival 2025 edition in beautiful Western Australia. The festival was a tremendous experience and this set showcases a lot of my classic disco and house sounds, as well as a lot of new unreleased material, ranging from house to Afro, to Garage and Tech house, and even some cheeky Psy. 

I hope you enjoy, there were some technical issues recording the set, and I have pieced together what I can, with the last few songs definitely getting more on the rougher side, and although raw and 'loose' still a vibe and captures some of the spontaneity of my performance.

Blossom 2025 Live Set

The first for me and the summation of years of learning and listening, a set of my own original tracks, played live at our Wonky Queenslander take over at Boombox in amongst many cherished friends at Earth Frequency 2025. 

Some are written just by me, some are with friends. It has been a joy to collaborate with my fellow Wonky Queenslanders, Chau and James Koebin; it was also also truly amazing to have the uber talented Hayato Simpson aka Staggersaur join for a live jam on a couple of tracks too.

Many of these are still works in production, but my first ever release, When I return to me will be coming out in the next couple of months. 

A little story for those still reading: The very first time I opened Ableton was when I had the idea for what was to be a track for a documentary I featured in about riding the pacific coast of the americas on push bike. That track was When I return to me,  the last track in this set, which I finished up a few months ago, making it a 9 year process. By comparison, The presence of you was written two weekend's before Earth Frequency. Even the yet to be named track by James and I finally came together on the Monday the week of EFF and we had our first rehearsal the morning of the show. I feel like I've finally arrived and can't wait to finish these and write some more.

What a blessing to open for the Wonky Queenslander on the Friday at the Boombox stage at Earth Frequency Festival 2025 at Woodfordia, QLD. What an incredible weekend that was!
My short journey of experimenting with musical musings that I love and adore has been thwart with its rollercoaster emotions.  The music here tells a tale of a soul’s journey which is sometimes filled with fear and doubt, but ultimately in order to thrive, to blossom and to grow into who we innately are, then we must step forward and do the things that scare us and to have courage to be seen even when we makes mistakes. 
With all its imperfections, this set reflects the true journey of learning along the way and choosing to move forward with courage and vulnerability. 
Sharing on the eve of the scorpio new moon,  which invites deep transformation that comes only from moving towards the very threshold of challenge and moving past self limiting beliefs, may the music soothe you while go about your day doing something creative or restorative… ✨
