Hi, Welcome to Dark Sessions, today is Thursday, April 1 of 2021. On our third episode we present our first international guest. Roma Zuckerman is a Dj and producer from Siberia, Rusia. He is part of Trip Recordings, label runned by Nina Kraviz, on which he recently released his latest album Stage of Loyalty, were tracks such as Disposition, Frequency Hole 4, I like you, among others, stand out. Zuckerman is characterized by its trippy, minimalistic, mental, and groovy sounds. Enjoy it.

I miss to play in front of people, to see the reaction from the audience and exchange looks and smiles. It's about sharing emotions, feelings and moments. I also miss the feeling of being in a club, to be in the crowd and to feel the energy on the dance floor. I miss that feeling you get when you go to a club, you get a natural high. I miss those peaks of the emotional highs that we get from dancing. The exitement you get from dancing surrounded by many people and listening to music at a loud volume. you get an amazing emotional release. I miss dancing and communicating with my friends and even people I don’t know. I miss techno..

🗯🗯 How did you prepare this mix and what was your main inspiration? 🗯🗯

Well, for this mix, my main inspiration was to imagine people dancing during listening to the mix. I also danced on my own recording it :). I also thought what the nightclubs has offered and will still offer to everyone: hedonism, the possibility to live out their identity or their desires freely, less anarchy, more love and forget the time :) … The mix is divided in many style; from trippy and floating techno to something harder and galloping. I had fun recording it in my studio and I hope people will feel the same feeling when they listen to it. We need to dance!

Global Vibe Radio 261 Feat. Selik (Interdimensional Exploration)

Revelation of Sound is pleased to present Selik. He is one of the key figures at the forefront of pushing the hypnotic and atmospheric techno scene on the west coast of Australia. He is half of Perth's regular and most dedicated-to-the-sound event series, GRIT. Vinícius Souza Aka RIGOONI is a brazilian producer/dj. Coming from a family of music lovers, it was just a matter of time for the young man to find his purpose. It was through his parents, listening to vinyl records since childhood, where he obtained his greatest musical influences. Self-taught, Vinícius began his productions at the age of 11 allowing himself to explore different genres of house music, building a melodic, organic, atmospheric and exciting sound to bring many positive vibes. His songs are constantly supported by big names.
In 2019 RIGOONI signed with the iconic label Balance Music for Nick Warren's album with the song "Dreamed Numbers" which reached # 4 of the label's best-selling tracks, in addition to having the honor of launching the track in vinyl format, alongside great names such as: Nick Warren, Nicolas Rada, Hernan Cattaneo, Audio Junkies, Armen Miran, Kamilo Sanclemente, Six, Black 8 and Eli Nissan.

We welcome the legendary producer and label cofounder of @8bit-records-mannheim , Gorge!

Gorge, aka Pit Waldmann’s musical journey is the story of a lifetime. From his teenage years as a pop drummer, to his vibrant DJ career, to his role as one of the most revered producers in the electronic scene, Gorge has always been hooked on the beat. „I grew up surrounded with a mix of trance, techno, house and hip-hop,“ he says. „It gave me a very open mind.“

His attitude and openness has fuelled a thriving career as DJ, producer, and co-owner, with Nick Curly, of 8bit Records. Gorge sees no reason to compartmentalise his music, or himself. As a young DJ in Mannheim, he combined working five days a week as a paramedic with playing in the city’s thriving club scene. „In the ’90s clubs were open every day of the week,“ he recalls with a laugh. „I was going to study medicine but the music infected me.“

Eventually Gorge gave up work as a paramedic to focus on music. He began releasing records in the early ’00s, experimenting with deep sounds. In 2005 he and musical comrade Nick Curly founded 8bit Records, which became one of the standout labels of forward thinking electronica. It pioneered minimal in its early years, before evolving into a deeper, groovier sound. „That’s when the real hype began,“ Gorge says.

Once it started, the hype never stopped. Gorge pushes his sound and builds his reputation with every release, every gig. „I’m not a DJ who plays the obvious tracks with the big breakdowns,“ he notes. „I show people you can have a good time with hypnotic, groovy stuff. Every night is different, but I always want to create an atmosphere in the club.“

VOLTAGE Podcast 01 - Shifted

Madrid-Berlin based, Psyk (Manuel Anós), is a solid staple of the current techno scene and doesn't seem to have gone off course since his precocious artistic ascension. 

His sets in the best clubs all over the world (Fabric, Berghain, Fuse, DeSchool, Concrete…) have helped crystallize his DJ talents making him one of the most requested DJs on the circuit and an influent figure in a whole generation. 
Psyk's singularity and maturity are constantly present in his music. The versatility who characterizes his sets are also shown in his productions, from "Arcade" or "Eclipse"´s entraining feverish techno, his remix for Planetary Assault System´s track Twelve to darker and deeper cuts like Lowdown for Tresor or his Fall From Grace for Semantica. 

In 2014 his widely acclaimed debut album "Time Foundation" is released on Luke Slater’s Mote Evolver imprint and in 2016 he releases the first record ever on the label of the mighty FUSE in Belgium. 
In 2019 he released his second album "A Moment Before" on Tresor records and also one of the most played EPs of the same year "Natural Causes" this time in collaboration with the Spanish producer Reeko.

Furthermore Manuel is regularly mentioned by the likes of Oscar Mulero and Robert Hood as one of the most interesting producers in recent years.

Like a conscientious artisan, Psyk approaches his compositions with care, adding somber power and energy through subtle touches, a process which has made him the subject of constant praise from illustrious artistic figures, be it through his offerings under the patronage of emblematic figures like Luke Slater, Len Faki, DVS1, Ben Sims stronghold labels Semantica and Tresor or even through his own label Non Series under his Maan alter-ego. Since its inception in 2011, Non Series has released collaborations by strings of prominent artists, from Silent Servant to Architectural, Chevel, Blawan, Luigi Tozzi, Function and Tadeo and has established itself as a reference in the Techno scene.

By developing, refining and purifying his sets, Psyk is focusing all his efforts on the concretization of the ideas that agitate his mind.
