As we mark the milestone of POLAAR's 10th anniversary, we are thrilled to introduce a brand new compilation that defines our sonic territories and encapsulates the essence of our exploration in sound.
Driven by the desire of independance and passion for bass-driven rhythms and experimental sounds, Flore and his mate Marc decided to start POLAAR 10 years ago, with the ambition of shaping their unique Bass music sound, far from the code initiated by the UK club scene. Since then, we've been at the forefront of a musical revolution, championing diverse artists from all over the globe and pushing the limits of genre conventions.
Territoire / definition : Expanse of land, more or less clearly delimited, which generally presents a certain unity, a particular character.
Territoires Vol3 is a compilation in which we ask to our artists to remix a tune taken from our back catalog. It is a way to pay homage to this still relevant past releases and create a bridge between our past and present. A way to showcase the depth and diversity of our own vision, without rut of styles or BPM.

We welcome to the label one of our favorite sound explorers in the world, Belgian-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Maoupa Mazzocchetti. After creating the intro for our last compilation, Maoupa delivers us Cilicio, an EP that ensures a high point in his cult catalogue, exploring tracks that guarantee devastation in any risk-taking set. Four of the tracks belong to that unique universe where the unpredictable artist always sets his own rules. The other two consist of stellar collabs- an essential featuring his friend Clara! and the other made with an old amigo of the label, the Venezuelan Cardopusher aka Safety Trance.

On the remixes, we went all out with 'también'. Our papi Nick León returns home with a melancholic 140 roller that has the trademark, dembowish-techno sound of the Miami producer. Finally, we are delighted to have on the label the Mexican who is breaking all the rules of this "industry", Regal86. As usual with his work and in line with only the greatest producers, the Monterrey artist essentially gave us a loop, one where we could stay forever.

Capiuz returns on Over My Body with a new club-ready album that slashes through a nocturnal forest landscape with fluorescents and violent bursts of color. 
Taking its name from a series of paintings called “Bande di Fiori Notturni” by Italian artist Alice Visentin, the project goes through a wide array of influences and bpms. 

Terra Nuda (naked earth) acts as an opener fusing a foggy drone with drum breaks and dance hall syncopations. Hectic follows up with a more bass oriented attitude incarnated in a heavy pounding kick pattern and driven by metallic drums with a restless spirit. 

The sounds and textures of Fiori Notturni are heavily inspired by the works of John Cage and his use of percussive instruments for both rhythmic and textural purposes. These influences become pretty clear in slower cuts like Black Needle and the title track, where jingles, rattles and other high-pitched instruments create a moving bed for the rhythmic section. 
Other works such as 0400 and the collaboration with label head B E N N, Lunar Eclipse, bring a faster pace to the project with a higher focus on rhythmic layering. Before giving its way to the Ancestral Vision remix, the “night” is closed off by Hallucinogen, a longer track driven by a steady kick that plays with different odd timed patterns to create an exciting and enveloping trip.

Capiuz is the experimental dance project of producer and performer Luca Favaro. Based in Italy, his genre-merging production focuses on exploring rhythm and sound design in a club context. Often leaning towards live performances, Capiuz’s music takes the form of a heavy hitting outburst filled with heavy bass, breakcore progressions and granular textures. He is currently the host of a show on Radio Raheem and has published with Unizone, Over My Body and Early Reflex. As a programmer he’s developing max for live devices with HIDE Productions, including granular audio effects and instruments and flexible percussive synths.

Despina returns to All Centre for the first time since 2022’s Limb Slip to deliver our 60th release. The rising NYC artist follows recent releases on Kindergarten and Infinite Machine to bring together yet another outstanding release of mind-melting dancefloor futurism.

Opening track Orogene wastes no time in bringing up the energy levels with a swelling synth line, boisterous chants and rolling fills constructing an intense build-up. An alien-like synth line then leads the track forward alongside heavy syncopated drum patterns. The track builds even further with sharp synth stabs, culminating in dancefloor chaos.

On Sin Rooms, Despina invites vocalist Xu Lai who lays down abstract, energetic vocals over masterful drum programming and tense, enveloping sound design. A hazy pad floats in and out of the track, whilst an ecstatic arpeggiated melody enters in the second half, adding a hypnotic edge to the track’s powerful vocals and percussive dynamism.

City in Plastic closes the EP with a heavy electro-inflected club cut. Sharp, mechanical hi-hats give way to a propulsive groove. As the track rolls and builds, an addictive earworm chord progression bounces around driving percussion and snarling synth work.

The release samples records and cassettes to weave a unique tapestry of sound, each track stretching anticipations with an eclectic blend of strange sound effects, filter sweeps, and other alterations, showcasing a diverse palette of sound and meticulous attention to detail. Our featured premiere, ‘Get The Hell Out’, is a swirling bass runner brimming with enticing effects and trinkets over a forceful UK funky foundation. Everything falls together seamlessly here, but there is a palpable relentlessness to the tracks’ percussive elements that you cannot ignore.
