"Having met April (april222.) at the DJ workshops, showing us some of their productions and DJ skills, we wanted to book them for a set at the KLAUW beach party in Weelde. We had such a great time dancing to their debut set. Their productions are quite different from the energy they bring to the decks. Usually producing slowed and reverb RnB tunes, April brings a variety of Ballroom beats, fast paced Jersey Club, and bootleg edits to this mix and DJ sets. Having a playful attitude, abrupt BPM changes, and exciting switches between songs, april222. is someone we need to see more in the club!"

We’re extremely thrilled to welcome @shespellsdoom to our Soundcloud Invite series! We’ve been following him for many years and feel extremely happy to present you with an incredible mix for Kulture Lab. His development has been spectacular and we can’t wait to see what lies ahead for SHE Spells Doom. 

SHE Spells Doom is an experimental Electronic music project created by Zambian producer, Wamya Tembo. It draws inspiration from a number of his influences, such as 80s Sci-Fi/Horror movies, (Congolese) Rhumba/Soukous, Gqom and early 2000s Rap production, which he mixes with House and Techno elements he picked up from his time living in Geneva, Switzerland. 

His style can best be described as hazy but driving - usually seeking to create a visceral atmosphere without neglecting the dancefloor by combining trademark airy synth-lines with heavy drum programming.

The past few years have seen him release work on labels such as Creme Records, Monstart, Sweat Equity, HTS, All Centre and Tresor.. Watch out for his upcoming release with the amazing All Centre and other interesting collaborations.
