Really awesome sound design in this one. Great dark vibe. It does stay in that same space and others have mentioned the side chaining as areas that might be tweaked. Overall, a really evocative piece.

Very Rich sound as usually, your basses are always very nice to listen to and fit your overall style.

That big bass horn... lead ? Is powerful. Great focal point.

Can't forget to comment on the great drum work too.

The cover and the type of music... I somehow had to think directly of “Inception”. And it works very well. Very good, dense atmosphere that slowly builds up and steadily increases. Very nice, dark, cinematic sound with the right breaks in the right places. Maybe this fat bass horn is a bit too present in some parts. On the other hand, the thing really kicks ass. Exactly my thing!

The immense side-chaining make it a bit uneasy for me to listen to. Nice motive, though. But, yeah, with syncopated beats like this, side-chaining is rough.

Darkness! I dig the spooky vibe and yes the fat bass sound is awesome! I could easily listen to more of this in this section..

Some of the fun experiments in this track:
* All effects in-synth. No mastering effects. LUFS low to minimize clipping.
* The track features 3 different main time signatures with some effort into seamless transitions.
* Melody / arp lines time warped with non-linear time-warping homebrew scrips (sinus and exponential time mapping).
* Multi-instrumental 1/8 echo delay. I.e. the delays are using different Myth instruments.
* Tempo is linearly changing between 90 and 135 BPM during most of the track.
* Sound design. Just random knob turning to taste, LFO stuff and effects.
* All EQs and reverbs are in-synth.
* Most volume mixing with MIDI velocity. (not 100% though).

Made for KVR Audio's "One Synth Challenge" #189

This month, it was "Myth" by Dawesome. Myth was the only synth used across multiple instances, including all drums. Only stock-effects and perpetually-free effects were used to process them and the master. As Myth can resynthesize audio, a special rule this month allowed processing of recorded audio and royalty-free samples, provided that they go in and out of Myth. Other usual rules apply: no [raw] samples, paid effects, or self-modulating effects.

Neu KatalYst - Barcode Aesthetic [KVR OSC #189: Myth] [DnB/Electro-House]

This is my entry "Mythic Odyssey" for the 189th edition of the KVR One Synth Challenge. All sounds were generated using the Myth plugin with a mix of free and included effects in Ableton Live 11.
I hope you enjoy it and feel free to offer any comments on how I might improve it if I do a remix for a wider release.

I aim to make some artwork for the track tomorrow as I needed to post it before the end of the month.
