Chasing Butterflies

"Reason to Believe" is a song written, composed, and first recorded by American folk singer Tim Hardin in 1965. It has since been recorded by many artists, most notably by the Carpenters on their album Close to You in 1970, and Rod Stewart first for his album Every Picture Tells a Story in 1971 and again for the live album Unplugged...and Seated in 1993.

On April 15, the last remaining hospital in Gaza was destroyed. To date, 50,000 civilians have died, of which 15,000 are children and another 34,000 children have been injured. (source: Unicef).
Due to the almost total displacement of the population in refugee camps where food and water are scarce, the lack of hygiene, of medical facilities, it is predicted, with a very conservative estimate, that in the end the civilian deaths related to the conflict will be four times as many (source: Lancet).

Cogito Vestrum - The Day After

I play the piano. Unless otherwise noted, everything is played and recorded on a Kawai ca99.


Once upon a time I programed, people called it hacking, I called it learning, I can still do it, but I prefer music, etc., 

The profile picture was taken when I was a teenager in the 1990s. I just liked the old washed out look of it. They were actual physical things back in the day. And phones had cords.

I started playing around age ~8-10 (who remembers, I know i started with the violin but moved on). Over the years I've had to re-teach myself the piano many times due to life getting in the way and not allowing me the time to work on it. The repetition of re-learning has helped with the style and technique I used to play here.

It's sort of like what happens when you learn multiple programming languages.. the syntax, etc., stop mattering as much and you just think about what you need.. works in music too I guess. :)
