A debut Bleach Cult album "Summertime Whiteout" - the quirky ambient pop record that fantasizes about 1960s surf culture and romanticizes the neverending dilemmas of teen life - got six versatile interpretations from diverse Partyzanai comrades. Ement transformed "A Coke With Hollie" into a rockabilly dancefloor sweat version, while Five Rituals duo converted the same song into a broken deconstructed club track. Sound designer Shkema took as usually a slow groove "mushroom" house approach and Zoe Zoe created an AI-based leftfield vocal version. Black Feeling transformed "Acid Shades" into a balleric dancefloor tune and Mart created a dreamy guitar-synths version of "Kenny". Finally, Alex Krell adapts "Neon sugar" into a true rave-ish anthem.

FSQ's ‘Freak Out For Fitness’ is a fitness anthem. It’s a new wave disco funk affair written by FSQ's Chuck Da Fonk and One Era that evokes the soundtracks of 80s fitness craze. Think Jane Fonda's workout videos, or the Jamie Lee Curtis & John Travolta’s film Perfect. Also Inspired by Chuck’s own fitness journey, where he lost 70lbs (30kg) and wound up becoming an athlete!

Soul Clap's Charlie leads with an extra heavyweight remix that pumps up the original with a funky house vibe, layers of percussion and bass before getting into a high intensity synth workout. The Lisbona Sisters are no strangers to a good stretch, and fresh off their debut release for Seth Troxler's Berlin-based Slacker 85, go full cardio with an Italo disco circuit. While you can hear Giorgio Moroder’s arpeggios in the mix, there's a muscular funk veneer bulking up the track. Bodies will pulse to elements of P-Funk and Chic that the Lisbona’s so artfully worked into these audio aerobics.  Tromsø’s Third Attempt, uses his remix as a showcase for his signature trip-hop-house sound, warming up the musical elements from the OG as they build up a sweat over a sultry, six-minute session. The instrumental versions of 'Freak Out For Fitness' fit perfectly as DJ weapons in any high NRG set, all versions a supreme soundtrack for anytime you need to pump it up!

Alpagone is a brand-new french band made up of three friends and cousins who create dynamic, high-energy electronic music. They belong to the Parisian collective and label Mégaparté. End Tonight, a french touch track counting a story about feeling left out on a danceflooor, is their first single. It’s accompanied by Danger Zone, a powerful, engaging italo and synth-wave track illustrating a confusing arrival in an ecstatic club. These two songs come from their sentimental odyssey, expected in the coming months.

Two years on from the seductive disco deviance of his previous full length, Mystic Jungle returns to his home base Periodic Records with a two track 12” single titled “Words of Love.” Masculine and feminine vocals interplay amidst textures of dreamy dub delirium, their tones smooth, yearning and androgynous as they plead over and over... repeating “Say You Love Me” like some spell of desperate romantic magic. Splatters of tropical island percussion move through starbound synth hooks, and sparkles of stellar vapor sooth the soul as moonlit organ chords ride equatorial riddims and chunky funky FM-bass riffs while all around, saxophonics blow like a humid mediterranean breeze. And on the flip, the extended version gives plenty of space over to club-minded dubwise drum intros, freely floating vocal layers, and seriously sun-scorched guitar solos that send waves of fire ripping through the air. Deep explorations into space disco are to be found on “Italo Love” with luscious waves of thick analogue sound and planetary FX.

Hamburg’s Mireia Records deals in high grade house music that is rich in deepness and melody; to date putting out music from Christopher Rau, Conga Fever, Marcus Worgull and Lauer. Their latest offing is a delectable EP from Johannes Klingebiel; a certified jazz drummer purveying tripped out warm sounds. ‘It’s OK To Cry’ features five cuts ranging in tenderness and atmosphere, each track showing off Klingebiel’s deep musicality. Here we premiere  ‘Time Is Now,’ a slow burning yet subtly euphoric number that elevates with percolating bass and glistening, spacey keys. With an abundance of amazing tunes and music coming out of these restricted times, it’s made for a bumper crop of wonky chuggers, acid heaters and sun kissed Balearic bangers for our annual ‘A Summer Riot’ EP.  So much so, that’s this year’s IX instalment has bolstered considerably, now spreading over two editions, and with 6 tracks apiece from some of our favourite producers.

Seasoned Futureboogie pros, Christophe and PBR Streetgang, head up the selection on Part Two, with Christophe delivering a meaty, reverb soaked, acid brain bender on ‘Critters 2 (The Revenge)’, whilst the PBR boys offer up a sleez and seductive Moroder inspired romp.

Glasgow’s Manakinz make a second appearance across the two ‘A Summer Riot IX’ releases, with the hypnotising ‘Mystic Throbber’, whilst Roe Deers come good with the quirky and funky sounds of ‘Monkey Dance’.

‘Fire In Zero Gravity’ by duo Acolyte, touches on Detroit techno soul and inspirative piano work for their entry, and Jakobin seals off the EP with the ghostly ambience and shuffling beats of ‘Mighty Mt’.

Moustache Records welcomes Senor Chugger to the label family! His debut EP 'One More Tune & One More Pint' (yes come on let's have it!!) aims to encompass the euphoric feeling of being on a dance floor with nothing but your mates and some good music (and pints). Honestly I'd be happy if that's what's awaiting me in the afterlife. 'Press the Flesh' is the head of our proverbial euphoric snake, making no promises other than you'll have a bloody good time listening to it. 'Midnight Scooter Cruise' is about those last few moments before the lights come on; feeling genuinely happy to have been able to live in the present for more than a few seconds throughout the night and have a laugh - followed by thoughts such as 'Goodness me I'm going to feel horrific tomorrow'. Flipping over to the B side (or the snake's ass, if you will), we have 2 tracks competing for the loudest snare award. 'Head in the Clouds of Smoke' is a nod towards the great times had in the peak of the midday sun at festivals, where otherwise non-smokers inexplicably decide to chuff their way through a 20 pack. Last, but by no means least, 'Newton Abbot Reunion' is about going back home to see old friends - one of the more wholesome hangovers I'm sure you can relate to. Overall this EP wants you to keep on dancing - there will always be one more tune, and one more pint (unless you've had too many in which case don't do that). 'Very very good EP.
