A child of the 80’s and a teenager of the 90’s, Al’Goodie’s musical education began in a household that housed many different music genres which included 80’s British Pop, Hiphop, Reggae, Motown, House as well as music from the Pacific islands. This knowledge and love for all music has led to Al’Goodie being one of the most requested NZ Dj’s due to his musical diversity. Al’Goodie has performed at events around the world, curated music for international sporting events, performed with international Hip Hop and Reggae artists and has been a promoter of indigenous music from around the Pacific. 

When he was once asked what to expect at Dj Al’Goodie performance, his answer was “I turn up to a show with my bag full of brushes and coloured paints (music), I don’t know what I’m going to play, but the venue and the quiet space between my ears and yours is my canvas”… “The piece of art I create is not based on dance, but based more on creating moments and emotions by way of music”…. “Dj Al’Goodie is an Artist that happens to be a D.J.”..
