Stoke Newington is a mostly improvisational group featuring a revolving cast of members.

Stephen Quaranta has been creating strange and inventive music on the fringes of the Philadelphia music scene for over a decade. He currently performs in Professor Maybe, a collaboration with his wife, Claire. Prior to and briefly overlapping with his move to Philadelphia, he performed in the award winning avant garde ensemble, Zelda Pinwheel. More recently, Quaranta has fronted psychedelic folk collective, Paper Masques and melodic noise quartet, Language Problem, in addition to releasing his own basement recorded electronic music under his own name.  He has also played key roles in many other projects including Yellow Humphrey, Lockets, Langor, and Mikronesia's epic rock opera, Pangaea. His album "Trying to Dance", available for free download on Bandcamp and Spotify and his new EP, "Funnily Walking Along" is available on Bandcamp.
