Dutch based Farid Belkadi, AKA Project13, started his musical career already at a very early age while playing on his elder brother and sister’s electric organ. 

At the age of 17 he got the taste for clubbing and entered the dance scene. Mainly listening to global DJs made him realise that it's not a profession but a calling.

So finally in 2001, he stepped up behind the decks and started mixing, while searching for every inch of vinyl, to create his own personal and specific sound.

With his unique taste for style and mad mixing skills, he mainly cruised through the ever evolving Harddance movement. The origin of which comes from UK Hardhouse and is also famous due the Dutch monthly HQ parties in the Melkweg Amsterdam. These days it has a much bigger meaning and it is used as an umbrella term that refers to the grouping of several modern electronic dance music genres. Such as Hardhouse, Hardtrance, Hardstyle, HardNRG and Hardcore.

Staying with his own religion and love for an euphoric and energetic appearance, he's actually growing into creating his own personal choice of sound and music. 

In 2009 he got in touch with Tech-Trance and up till now it is his main goal to spread that love amongst others. 

Gaining more knowledge and confidence in the business everyday he now produces his own Tech-Trance tunes. From collaboration projects (where the name Project13 came from) to remixes or mashups he is destined to share his vision globally.

Owning the ability to please small venues or huge crowds, from kick off to primetime or even up to closing sets, his flexible choice is a definite winner.

His appreciation for artists ranges very wide in diversity and his respect goes mainly to the likes such as Tiësto, Mark Sherry, Sied Van Riel, Sander Van Doorn, Ferry Corsten, Deadmau5, Avicii, Skrillex, The Prodigy, Scot Project, Organ Donors, Tony De Vit, Mauro Picotto, BK, Nick Sentience, Paul Glazby, Captain Tinrib, Lab4, Proteus and Technoboy. Who have been of great influence in guiding him to develop his own musical direction and become who he is today.
