This version of a well trod American slave traditional, is inspired by the work i've been doing on the soundscape of Desire under the Elms at the Lyric Hammersmith. It was suggested by the Sound Designer Chris Schutt, inspired by a version by Martin Simpson and played in a Claw-hammer rhythm poached from Steve Baughman. I hope you enjoy it..
