I find it intriguing that reverberating objects create the sonic illusion of a large space. It’s like they have a hidden inner space that can only be expressed through sound.

I’ve kept things as minimal as possible. No effects, no EQing. Just two channels.

Left channel - reverberant sound sculpture made with various metal objects screwed to a piece of wood and played with a soft piano hammer. The contact mic is attatched to a part of the sculpture at a distance from the part being struck.

Right channel - glass prism rolled around a dented metal lid. The lid is dampened by hand and the contact mic is attatched directly onto the lid.
