I’ve said in regards to a number of tracks that there were some that could have or should have been given more recognition, but if it were up to me this track would be first (although I haven’t heard the youtube ones yet). Pop isn’t my thing, but this is so well done that it’s disappointing there was no mention of it. It’s one of the only tracks that I’ll not only say could be played in public without anyone giving it much thought, but also just sounds like an actual singer and top tier pop song. The instrumental composition itself is full of variation, the lyrics are great, it has wide potential appeal (non-core or alienating genres) without having a boring sound or generic topic (standard pop love songs), the vocals sound great and it has an overall clear sound. The only real criticism I’d give is that it is a bit quiet and starts off a bit slow. The beginning could be better and things don’t really pick up until about half a minute in.
