This week starts off with some uplifting pumpers from Heerhorst and Netsh, both new comers to my ears but ones I will be following from now on! There's a few acid tinged tracks in here from David Granha on Sincopat and the title track from shining star Amelie Lens New EP, Stay with me. 

2 of my favourite producers, Hollen and Raffaele Rizzi, have teamed up for track 'Basic Duo' this banger is out soon and I cant wait to get my hands on it, absolute peak time blaster! Bitten records is an imprint I've followed for some time and their new release 'Connection' by Gaston Zani is an a raw, dirty track with great energy. Raw techno master Dax J is back with a slamming remix of Perc's 'Unelected', this is guaranteed to blow the roof off!

My focus this week is on friends and Leeds based Techno imprint Oscuro Music. They've been releasing high quality music for a little over a year with 38 solid releases and some quality parties under their belt, definitely one to watch if you don't already!

Words cannot describe how happy I am to finally return with my own music. It took me a long time to overcome my depressing state and to be able to be creative again. I think every artist knows how it feels when you are blocked and cannot do music anymore, it is a very sad and frustrating feeling…. . I am very relieved to be back now with two new tracks. Hope you like them.

Ein mal im Jahr verwandeln wir die Frohnatur in ein schauriges Gruselkabinett. Alle Affen schmeißen sich in Schale und zeigen sich von ihrer dunklen Seite. Die Kettensägen schreien durch die Nacht und im Hintergrund wabert der Bass durch die Blutüberströmten Körper. Zombies stürmen die Tanzfläche, die Wolfe geben sich ihren trieben hin und heulen den Mond an. Die Hexen reiten auf ihren Besen durch die Menge und die Vampire stillen ihren Durst an der Bar. Du betrittst den Club und sprühst den schauer der durch deinen ganzen Körper fährt. Es ist die Musik die dich sofort packt und nicht mehr los lässt. Du fällst in einen Trance ähnlichen Zustand und lässt dich einfach fallen. In einem Strudel aus Glück und Schwerelosigkeit erwachen wir, wenn die Sonne wieder aufgeht. Das Licht zeigt uns das wir alle die Nacht überstanden haben und nun das Dunkle wieder ablegen können.

Landing with a bang and in time for height of the summer season comes Eastern European producer and DJ Timmo, a rising tech house talent that’s already released with the likes Drumcode and Waveform Recordings, now makes his mark with Gregor Tresher’s always on point Break New Soil label.

On the In My World EP, the Bulgarian focuses on tempo, rhythm and drive, turning in a 3 track EP of non-
nonsense dance floor ammo, eschewing remixes and collaborative numbers for a full fat collection that allows the budding producer to explore all facets of his sound.

Kicking off the EP is Komplex – a driving, mechanistic track that piles on the hypnotic, hydraulic overtones. Snarling, gnashing and tough, its drop heralds the arrival of a thudding kick drum, producing the back bone as the track hisses, pops and bangs through its deep groove and 808 claps.

Title track In My world pushes a heavy slab of sub bass, before hissing and ticking snares – packed full of swing and pace – push the track forward, as radiating, mid range bass pierces the track’s plain. More groovy than Komplex – adorned by progressive melodies - it’s dark overtones and unapologetic effects make for an equally as moody piece for those with itchy feet.

Finally, Timmo asks you to Trust In Me, as he notches the bass up further, with kick and baseline merging into one heavy lead rhythm, while compressed snares lift up the track in bursts of major tonal chord progression, restlessly deviating through a simultaneous weaving of high and low melodic touches.

Transmit Recordings’ next highly anticipated release comes from who other than the label boss Boris, consisting of the original track and two remixed versions from the great Christian Smith and the Naples born Hollen. Boris original version of “Music Takes Me” is a peak time burner, heavy kicks, chaotic background atmospheres and a bass destined to shake any given dance floor. Christian’s remixed version is a groover, heavy playful bassline and percussive with a tribalistic touch and to conclude the big release Hollen’s remix is closer to the original, making great use of the background atmo’s and introducing a more subtle underground drum work to match his usual style. Hatzler jumps in on the remix, kicking off with a bumping bassline from the get-go. Injecting bass and grit is one of his known production traits, and he manages to give Alone a straightforward, still dreamy yet solid groove appeal.
