Zuckermann's work is about developing electronic (dance) music further, so it stays on top of a contemporary lifestyle with its corresponding party and listening experiences. 
In order to do this he uses unlikely but fitting references to other genres (classical, experimental 20th century music, jazz, children's songs...), non-musical ideas and sounds, as well as contemporary conceptual thinking to craft his tracks. His 
approach aims partly at avoiding lazy cliches and partly at the fun of deconstructing the usual retro formulas we all know 
too well. In the end, it is about creating a truly post-techno(logical) Techno. This Post-Techno is deepened electronic music with an experimental, multi-perspective approach and a serious attitude that will nevertheless rock dancefloors. Zuckermann has released on a number of up-and-coming German labels (among them - FormResonance run by Wareika's singer Florian Schirmacher), but has now turned his focus to Lebensfreude Records where he released his rather interesting solo album Serendipity in March 2014.

Making music literally since he can think and being able to read notes before he was actually able to read, Robin grew up 
with classical piano, drums and percussion, spending days in front of the radio, waiting for his favorite songs to be played 
so he'd be able to record them, trying to put together special selections of songs, collections of different moods, which he 
would listen to when driving in the car with his father. All this, and of course playing in bands from Metal to Hip Hop and 
from Punkrock to Funk, have helped Robin develop an extraordinary wide musical horizon and a very special intuition 
and understanding of music that keeps spilling out of him like a source that never dries out as soon as he lays his hands 
on any DJ-gear.
But not only as a DJ with residencies at the legendary Bar 25, Kater Holzig (now Kater Blau) and Watergate in Berlin or 
Villa Nova in Hamburg Robin has earned his good reputation. Releases on labels such as Platzhirsch, Trapez ltd or 
Kater Mukke (just to name a few) have underscored his standing in the world of electronic music and made the name 
Red Robin stand for quality music & quality time.

Dancefloor raconteur Nils Ohrmann is one of Germany’s more renowned beat smiths and club curators. A co-founder of the Arms & Legs record label along with his cohort Daniel Steinberg in 2011, Nils is a highly touted DJ and has also forged his own legacy as a producer.

Since cutting his teeth as a resident DJ at the renowned talent-factory ‘Schnabelbar’ in Kreuzberg, Nils has regularly thrown down at many of Berlin’s major clubs, including Bar25, Sisyphos, Tresor, Wilde Renate, Suicide, and Golden Gate to go with slots at parties all across Europe. 

As a DJ, Nils has built up his dancefloor following based upon his penchant for extended, eclectic sets that span broad sonic terrain, traversing minimal house, techno and disco interludes peppered with a healthy dose of the unexpected trax and Nils’ own re-edits. 

Nils made the transition into the production realm with immediate success. Nils’ lauded 2009 after-party homage ‘Le Funk Fatale’ on the Hula Hoop Label blossomed into a summer anthem, acquainting dancers with the groove-oriented production style that would imbue later favourites such as ‘In Ya Face’. 

In addition to overseeing their Arms & Legs label together, Nils and Daniel have collaborated on cuts such as ‘Hoopin'’, which was remixed by Oliver $, who in turned worked with Nils on a refashioning of Ronald Christoph’s ‘Underground Limbo’. For all his noteworthy collaborations, Nils is equally adept as a solo remixer as his recent reworkings of Stereofysh and Samuel Fach demonstrate in no uncertain terms. 

Whether he is in remix mode, DJing or bunkered down in his Berlin studio, Nils’ music is driven by his knack for sonic storytelling and creating an arc of tension. This enterprising ethos makes Nils Ohrmann one of the most engaging figures in Europe’s club realm.

Respected house producer Josh Butler is back, armed with his brand new ‘Link’ EP on Edwin Oosterwal and Joris Voorn’s legendary Rejected imprint. The EP once again proves Josh’s ability to continuously deliver the kind of high quality tech-house that has entrenched him as an integral figure in the underground UK house scene.

The title track ‘Link’ stays true to Butler’s less-is-more philosophy while also showcasing his incredible sound-design and production know-how. The percussion takes centre stage as Josh brings in conga rolls, a soulful vocal refrain and lush, atmospheric pads to contribute to an inimitable groove. Two distinct mixes of the track, a melodic mix and a dub mix, are generously provided on the EP and both demonstrate the intricacies inherent in Josh’s production.

Rounding off the release is ‘Need Me’, the EP’s deeper venture that combines minimalist instrumentation centred around a grooving bassline, subtly making itself known above the driving percussion. Throughout the EP, Josh succeeds in delivering vast symphonic landscapes within the pretext of measured and characteristic instrumental restraint. Partygoers can expect to hear both sides of the EP receive serious airtime across the club circuit as the Ibiza season kicks into full swing this month.

After exceptional releases on much-respected imprints like Dixon’s Innervisions, Drumpoet Community and Mood Music, Berlin-based artist duo FRANKEY & SANDRINO brings their sophisticated, deep house sound to Kompakt with the HYDRAE EP – three new and highly versatile tracks that prove once more the perfect symbiosis of Frank Beckers’ technical know-how and Sandrino Tittel’s selector expertise from his days as resident DJ at Wuppertal’s famed Butan Club. On Camino de Flores, his second full-length album, El Búho reimagines electronic music through the lense of the natural world and its rich soundscapes. 

Drawing on the inspiration of traditional rhythms and sounds, notably from Latin America, Camino de Flores is an album that transports you to another place. Following the success of his first LP, titled Balance, El Búho is back and takes us on a journey from high mountains to cascading waterfalls, from a dusky rainforest to a crackling fire beneath a clear, star-filled sky. The album charts a pathway between traditional rhythms, the sound of the natural world, IDM electronica and a deep, enveloping dancefloor sound. 

With rhythms, instruments and effects built from field recordings or “found sound”, on Camino de Flores it is often hard to distinguish between synths and drum machines, from birds, water, rain or crunching leaves.
