Bleep Mix 179 comes from the great Roman Flügel. A household name to many, Roman has been active since the early 1990s under a number of aliases (his tracks as Roman IV have been seemingly omnipresent in tastemaker DJ sets for the last decade). This mix is an accurate reflection of Flügel's output - delicately psychedelic, thoughtfully engineered and refreshingly unpredictable. Setting out with some staunch UK techno from Blawan & Ste Roberts, it glides into willowy house, throwback electro and breaks from the likes of Eris Drew & Legowelt, ending with an extended play of the late, great Andrew Weatherall’s Dexys edit.

Hailing from Aarhus, Denmark, C.K is the main man behind Safe Distribution and its affiliated labels, such as PRS and Help Recordings to name just two. He has been known to release under a variety of different monikers, including the ambient-focused projects 3.11 and 355.11125. C.K is also part of several collectives, namely 2 Bit Crew, Maizena, and the infamous Regelbau crew, alongside Manmade Deejay, DJ Sports, Central, and more. A keen digger, C.K has a never-ending desire to find new music (and old) for his DJ sets. Whether performing solo or back-to-back, C.K is known to represent the relaxed but recognisable sound of all the labels and artists surrounding the Safe crew – usually with a nod a bit more towards the euphoric soundscapes of Dream House, with bouncy basslines and luscious melodies. Phonica Mix Series 91: C.K

Panorama Bar resident and Love On The Rocks label head Paramida joins us for the 92nd edition of the Phonica Mix Series. 

Since moving to Berlin in 2010, Paramida has since become a key figure in the cities ever-expanding electronic music scene. In 2014 she launched her Love On The Rocks label which has seen releases from Massimiliano Pagliara, Telephones, Fantastic Man, Elles, Violet, Alex Kassian and more.  

Having spent five years working at Oye Records, Paramida is certainly no stranger to digging. Each of her varied DJ sets brings a new beacon of pleasure and surprise. Blending proto-house to trance, percussive gems with high-energy techno, Italian dream house and irresistible new beat. Sounds that are very much reflected in this here recording. As we near our 100th mix in our main Phonica series, we up the game with a journey from New York born and Berlin residing, deep house legend Fred P AKA Black Jazz Consortium for number 97. Deep is truly in the essence of everything Fred does and its honest reflection shines brightest in his two latest albums "Oasis" and "Abstract Soul" which dropped back to back this year accompanied by some heavy in demand 12's on his Private Society imprint. That very essence is showcased in this mix he put together for us. Grooving through all sounds that have inspired the mind of this artist and cutting into deep layered moods of house, funk and techier bits this is a divine look into how Fred P approaches sound.

This is my 4 hour opening set from the December edition of Group Therapy in Copenhagen (@grouptherapy_cph). I was really sick in the week running up to this party and very nearly pulled out but am so glad I made it. 

The party was a world AIDS day fundraiser raising money for AIDS-Fondet and “Ungegruppen”. It was also the first party in their new venue Den Anden Side. The vibes were incredibly special and I was honoured to play the first songs in their new home. This was my love letter to everyone we lost to AIDS and a chance to play some of my most cherished records.

Arsenii released an incredible record with us a few months back called the "Deep Hows EP" and this mix is evocative of the sound he explored on that essential 12". Pacific Spirit No. 83 | Bliss Street Queens

The 2022 Edition was a special one for me, full of mixed feelings and not really in my best mental state. As soon as I was up there and got in the groove I looked up and saw all the smiles and for a moment I forgot all the bad stuff and went for the ride.
So this is my little gift to you all.

Immense thanks for all your kind words received during the festival. Before and after my set. I live for moments like this and to celebrate music in such environments with the best crowds possible.
Small, simple, good music, good people. Thats all I need.

Also thanks for continually supporting Parallel Festival. I have big plans for the future which I hope to make possible.
