The cover of Panthera Krause‘s last Riotvan EP already featured a little doggy. His new piece Laika extends this tradition on a larger scale and is devoted to one of the most famous four-legged friends in history. Laika was the first dog in space and the most adequate epitome of the spirit that is inherent in Panthera’s pieces. We’re speaking of the urge to discover new things which makes him swing off the beaten four-to-the-floor paths time and time again. Of a curiosity which might as well make him look for the suitable sounds somewhere far out. And of an emotional vastness which can change from sparkling euphoria to melodrama in the blink of a dog’s eye. While it is hardly ever questioned that everything which exceeds one track length is termed an EP, Panthera delivers something like a mini album. The opener Through My Mind expands to turn into a dense synth cloud which casts anchor on the dance floor without letting you any other choice.

Then, Isla soars the contentual climax, with Laika nearly floating before your inner eye, drifting off into the eternity of space through the porthole of her space capsule, not anticipating her fate, while the track unpacks the flute of longing. Isla Dub down-regulates the interstellar pathos level a bit, focusing on star cold synth rides instead.

If approaches you as a percussively padded jazz monster. Rumor has it that joint sessions with Pantheras niece and drummer Paul Tetzlaff have had an influence on that one. And with Dubček – skilful disco coolness, including a cheekily groovy bassline and a drama boost made of a sample turned into note.

In sum then, we get five new Panthera Krause tracks together with a skit. On top of that, as always, the artwork was created by the Renaissance man himself, who, next to his own solo trips, is also a part of Marbert Rocel and Karocel. But this presumably, if at all, should only be mentioned as a footnote, shouldn’t it?

The EP comes as a 12-inch vinyl, is limited to 300 exemplars and will be released on July 25th 2014.

XDisco #8: Real Velour

"All good things come in threes" is an ancient concept, known as the "rule of three" or Omne trium perfectum, that suggests things are more satisfying, memorable, and effective when presented in a group of three. This principle is deeply ingrained in human psychology, as our brains are naturally wired to find patterns and remember information in threes, making the concept influential in fields like writing, storytelling, and design. 

Back once again for his third instalment we have non other than the master craftsman that is Mr Wilkinson.

Drawing on both the past and present his mixes span across acid, guitar, cosmic, Italo, disco, rave and chug – all underpinned with driving basslines and a fair bit of bottom knocker.

Jorge Galindo is a Guatemalan DJ and producer whose versatility and commitment to electronic music have positioned him as a prominent figure within both national and international scenes. Throughout his career, he has reached key milestones, signing with respected labels such as Fragancia (ES), Modular (UK), Kyma Komplex (MX), The Way Out (CR), DMNSNL (GT) and Plankton Repellent (RU). His work has been featured on internationally recognized platforms such as Disco Pastors (TR), SXDN (DE), Something Spaecial (DE), Oberwave (RU), Disco Suicide (DE) and Feed Your Head (UK), further expanding his global presence.

He has performed at emblematic venues including The Box, Solemne Suites, Azul Rosa, El Sótano, The Secret Garden, and Nativos, consolidating his presence in the club circuit. He has also taken part in prestigious festivals and events such as Caldera Club NYE, Sunblok, Sunscreen Society, and Mellow Hostel Festival, showcasing his versatility across diverse formats. His reach extends to the radio landscape as well, with appearances on renowned stations like Loose FM and Kane FM (both UK), and Radio Alhara (Palestine).

Jorge is the co-founder of Dimensional, a collective and record label focused on the development and dissemination of indie dance, dark disco, and related genres. That’s the mood Nikita von Tiraspol (SXDNS449) captures on his new EP, “Tidal Memory”, coming soon on the Miami-based imprint impresión. Three tracks that move between uplifting summer beach house and melancholic, shimmering evening moods. Perfect for both the island holiday itself and the journey back home. The collection masterfully bridges the gap between celebratory moments and reflective afterthoughts. The cherry on top: DC-based producer Dommie jumps in on the remix duty.

Premiered here, “One Last Summer” is a composition that perfectly encapsulates the promise of its name. The track builds with Balearic intention, introducing delicate synth arpeggios that ripple like sunlight on water. God Damn Men est DJ et Organisateur, co-créateur de Maison Pourpre et Surya, des concepts hybrides où clubbing, art et sensualité s’entrelacent dans une esthétique sexpo-kinky. Ces expériences lui ont donné une connaissance intime de la nuit et de son organisation, qu’il transpose aujourd’hui dans ses sets.


Résident du Serpent à Plume, il imagine le dancefloor comme un espace de groove, de désir et de libération. Ses sélections, toujours un peu bancales et hypnotiques, visent bas, à la ceinture, pour mieux emporter les hanches. Entre intensité nocturne et éclats solaires, God Damn Men nourrit une énergie organique et sensuelle, taillée pour révéler le corps.
