Welcome back! For this week's show we had Low End Theory's very own DJ Nobody in the studio with us.  We hope you're ready for not just another great session of musical selections but also a great 25+ minute discussion between DJ Nobody and Joe Kay. Joe kicked things off for a little over an hour & 33 minutes with new and forgotten gems. Do your research! Nobody made his 1st appearance on the show that was well overdue and went into a heavy/experimental beat journey ranging a variety of BPM's. We discussed a bit of his background and really got into the history of Low End Theory and the progression of where it is today. Came across this track the other day and it took me back to 2007, hard to believe it's been ten years... Made this with my man Stephane Lefrancois when we were both living in Ottawa, Kind Sunshine was an amazing band run by Marc Shapiro out of Toronto... it featured a slew of amazing musicians over the years... Felt so blessed to get to make this mix with my homie Steflef and it never got released though I have played it at countless parties over the years...  I got in touch with Marc whom I came across again recently at Unity Hip Hop Festival in TO last summer and he gave me the blessing to give it away, so here you are!

It's a bittersweet ironic testament to the art we make.  To playing for 4 walls and the bartender... To devoting your life to an artform that has changed so much in the last 15 years... Really spoke to my soul...  Did cuts on this one which is rare and a throwback for me... Hope you dig...

Chopped it up so I could play it, added a really old-school hip hop beat, pretty minimal really what I did to it, but the result's like nothing I have ever heard before and it gets great reactions when I play it out... Hope you dig!

Binder has has been producing music for quite some time, but it took facing a life threatening health challenge recently for him to find his voice and where he feels at home musically.

Obrigado EP is the first release in a series of works where Binder is creating music with the feeling of being thankful for breath of life.
Obrigado means, Thank you in Portuguese.

For the EP I am grateful to have worked with three extraordinary artists, who’s musical gifts truly emit medicine to those that hear their gift.     

Nina -  Who I collaborated on the title track of the EP, Obrigado, I came across her work on SoundCloud and was blown away by her voice, her music truly is medicine.

Everyone loves the Sun… some love the Moon too! A few Moonlighting DJ/ Producers, inspired by the original Moon People album (released June 2012) set out to take the songs for another turn in space.

Here we have Ancient Astronauts remixing the title song featuring The Real Live Show & Kathrin deBoer (Belleruche) into a straight ahead Hip-Hop groover.
