Kri Records strike back with a cassette compilation under an appropriate name: Trust the Rust! Rust dealers come from all over the globe. 

Nasty electro cuts are served by LA-based Ole Mic Odd who has released on labels such as Zement, Italian producer and the mighty Gravitational Waves owner DJ Nephil, British veteran Chupacabras with seals of approval on L.I.E.S. among others, and our Russian friend Larionov, who regularly puts out bangers for Rotterdam Electronix. 

The Electro part of the compilation is rounded by the local Ljubljana legend operating as a DJ and Honest Work label owner, 198319831983. EBM-ish march is saluted by Black Dot, the duo of Christian Kroupa and Le Chocolat Noir, soon releasing music on Mechatronica and responsible for our first release. Christian has also joined forces with the Dallas and Science Cult native Aura Nox. NYC and wave EBM bangers are represented by R Gamble, Spinal is an up-and-coming producer from Chile having released a great EP on Pildoras Tapes, while Bianco Negativo is an Italian duo behind one of our fav labels, Marguerite Records.

It’s now a long time love story between Lumbago & @binarysoundmusic, so naturally we had to ask their resident DJs to join the Saga. First we welcome @eliotshep_h_erd with his overflowing energy and eclectic musical selection. A very well built episode indeed, emphasing perfectly his touch while capturing what we call here, the Lumbago Vibe. A well balanced mix navigating between A class house, progressive vibes, in a certain mystical world.

Hailing from Corsica, U-Died (formerly known as Mare @mareopaq) is a seasoned artist who yet remains an up and comer. His dig and own productions (we'll discover some unreleased ones in this mix btw) take roots in the 80’s and 90’s repertoire. He is in the other hand the co-founder of local imprint OPAQ and collective Audiocult.
Through a wide panorama, including newbeat, techno, synthpop and early-trance, we can feel the 80’s fever and the anime/video game OST influence while the strong core and brute narrative are shifting towards a soothing sentimental charm.

KERMIX-21 - U-Died

CentralFM returns with our second instalment brought to you by diskevich. The Ukrainian selector came to our attention via his Youtube channel of the same name, where he shares some of his extensive and eclectic record collection of which the quality really speaks for itself. Having listened to his mixes last year for the likes of Tresydos and Truants we knew we had to get him involved. 

His channel caption reads 'Digging the gems so you don't have to' and its safe to say hes dug deep for this one. Expect some expert selections dipping into the realms of house, techno, electro and beyond.

Age of Revolt is the musical persona of seasoned DJ / producer and Ljubljana native Jakob Bekš (a.k.a. 198319831983 / TPROACH), focusing on tougher grooves, distorted drum machine patterns and uninhibited experimentation. An unwavering musical ethos intertwined with sociopolitical commentary has resulted in “Fake Everything” a powerful, sonically dense and unashamedly physical collection of dancefloor-oriented tracks that defy fleeting trends and pierce through the noise of our contemporary era.

“Fake Everything” serves as an admonitory indictment of the disquieting prevalence of manufactured narratives propagated through mainstream media channels and the brandification of the Self, the landscape of curated identities and algorithmic entrapments; a socio-cultural paradigm catalyzed by the ascendancy of social media platforms. In an era marked by the proliferation of deepfakes, where AI-generated synthetic media is already blurring the line between truth and fiction, the message resonates with heightened relevance.

Through relentless drums and hypnotic repetition interspersed with dissonant noises and jarring interruptions, the music mirrors the relentless onslaught of misinformation and distraction that besieges us daily. It invites the listener to rise above the labyrinthine terrain of cognitive dissonance that pervades the collective consciousness and illuminate the veiled veneers of digital personhood and consented reality.

Seasoned DJ / producer from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Equally adept at dictating sweaty dancefloors or curating a listening experience.  1/3 of @zasilni-izhod and @imaginaryradiostations. Owner and founder of @honestworkrecordings.

Co-founder of @scienceofuse, an independent Slovenian electronic music collective and record label (2003-2016), responsible for the infamous Gumitwist club night series (2008-2013) at the legendary Klub K4, hosting a diverse array of internationally renowned artists. Also a mainstay at other legendary Ljubljana club institutions like Astrodisco, @elektroliza, Elements, @smetnjak and @stiroporfestival. 

A regular contributor to the long-standing @chillispace dub-techno / electronica label and event series (est. 2002) and frequent performer at @elektroliza, a regionally influential electro night at Ljubljana's Channel Zero as featured on the "Electro City Ljubljana" double LP , released in 2018 to commemorate its 10 years of existence and showcasing electro artists from all over former Yugoslavia. His music has also appeared on releases by @kri-records, Senzorama, Tehnopolis, @originrecords3, @sezam-2, @stiroporfestival, @innkick, Gibanica and K4 Format. 

During his stay in Berlin (2015-2020), he co-founded @imaginaryradiostations, a musically explorative platform, cassette, podcast and event series started with fellow expats @cp-ak and @evano.  A cassette album of their studio experiments titled "IRS C60 VOL.1" was self-released in 2018. Their experimental approach attracted the attention of French label @voicelessrecords, which included two of their later pieces on its 2020 compilation "V for Peace". 

Started @honestworkrecordings in 2021, releasing his debut full-length album "Microdosing Dystopia" as 1983. His solo releases also include a string of EPs and albums as @tproach and @ageofrevolt. Co-hosts @zasilni-izhod , an electro / EBM / techno night in Ljubljana.
