Sunken Cages is the moniker of drummer/electronic music producer Ravish Momin. He studied with US Jazz master-drummer Andrew Cyrille. He has worked as a sideman with a wide array of musicians from Shakira to avant-Jazz legend Kalaparush Maurice McIntyre (AACM/Chicago.)  In addition, he has also led his own Jazz/global group Tarana and Turning Jewels Into Water (with Val Jeanty) on international stages for the past 14 years.
As Sunken Cages, Momin plays electronic and acoustic drums, and triggers melodies and textures. While rooted in Indian and Black Music traditions, he is also influenced by the street sounds of underground dance music from Sao Paolo to Durban to Mumbai and beyond.
He is signed to OnTheCorner Records (UK) and Akuphone Records (FR.)
He has done remixes for Depeche Mode, renowned global electronic music producers Batida (Portugal) & Babani Sound System (Mauritius.) He has recently performed at Big Ears Festival (US), LeGuessWho? Festival (NL), Positive Futures Festival (Austria), Lincoln Center Outdoors Festival (New York City, US), Slingshot Festival (US) and Festival Congedi (Italy.)

Matt Mansfield is a musician, producer, and sound engineer with a focus on Dub Reggae. He maintains a studio in Clarkston, Georgia, on the outskirts of Atlanta, where he uses the techniques of Dub and electronic production to explore global soundscapes. He instigates musical interactions under the name Piper Street Sound. With over twenty years of recording, performing, and touring as bassist and live dub engineer, as well as years working in record label management with the pioneering ZZK Records, Mansfield has dug deeply through the emerging sounds of our planet. In this process of delving he has evolved into a creature of instinctive musical creation.

Valentina Magaletti is a drummer, percussionist and composer whose goal is to strategically enrich a folkloristic and eclectic palette through endless listening and experimentation with new materials and sounds. She has performed and co-written with many artists including Nicolas Jaar, Jandek, Helm, Raime,Moin, HOoy Tongue,Czn Malcom Catto, Charles Hayward, Graham Lewis (Wire, Dome), Tightpaul Sandra (Coil, Spiritualized, Julian Cope), Thurston Moore, Bat for Lashes, Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals), and many more. In her current project, Vanishing Twin she has a more conventional jazz approach that finds its escape in the drone/field recordings of the percussive narrative in other  experimental/avant-garde productions. Valentina was born in Bari, Italy, and lives in London.
