This was a bit I threw together on my iPad and Casio for the local open mic night.  Yeah, the recording was just the mic on my phone, so there's only so much you can do to clean up the sound in this environment.

Bio
In 2007 at age 63 Montrealer Peter Wheeler bought his first guitar. He then went to amazon.com and purchased a book called “How To Play The Guitar for Dummies”. Since then he hasn’t looked back. 

Sometimes serious - sometimes humorous Wheeler’s music seeks to re-capture the Classic Vibes  from the 70’s & 80’s. To best describe his music imagine Bob Dylan & The Doors meet The Clash & Leonard Cohen at the Hotel California & share a bottle of wine with Tarantino. Peter Wheeler is a poet - focusing all his energies into creating musical canvases to express his personal vision of the world surrounding him. 

For several years Peter was part of the local bar scene in the Greater Montreal area.  He performed as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for The Rock Roulette Band. His experiences giving live performances and continually improving his guitar playing has truly shown that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

In 2020 Peter teamed up with Johnny Vienneau, a multi- talented musician and Producer from Montreal and recorded his first album of cover songs called "Self Portrait".  https://soundcloud.com/peter-wheeler/sets/self-portrait-1

Today Peter continues to pursue his passion for The Arts by doing portraits of friends, family and people he greatly admires. In 2021 he became a re-born again environmentalist and his songwriting is now focused on increasing awareness of the climatic challenge facing the planet.

A hobbyist electronic musician.

I'm trying to do some live jam capture stuff lately, but I mostly do synth editing and mixing - downloaded MIDI files with a little bit of tweaking; little to no "playing".  See links on songs.

Back in the 80s, I hung out in the music department quite a bit, and did a couple terms as a college station DJ, when I wasn't working on my computer degree (the day job which I’m not quitting).

I love the community on SoundCloud.  E.g. - people say horrible things to each other on places like YouTube, but here, people just quietly pass over things they don't like, and tell you about what they do.  Thanks, all!

Finally, FWIW, I usually try to put things I have "liked" through the rotation during my morning walk or commute for a few weeks before deciding to repost them.  I hope any visitors here enjoy the eclectic mix of things I have reposted, as well as (hopefully) some of my tracks.

In regards to COVID-19 I hope everybody stays smart and safe. Stay the fuck inside and away from everybody.In the sake of music spend tour time creating and providing the world with your talent.As horrible as this is, look at it as an opportunity to dig deep without the distractions of life..... NEW MUSIC ON THE WAY.... I’m going to focus on HipHop the New York way but with my own flavor.... I started making music using loops now I make my own sounds using multiple instruments so sounds are unique and my own....I put some stuff up on YouTube but don’t have many followers... ZARINE (Dj Zarine) is one of the drum & bass DJs and producers whose work has brought considerable popularity to this style.
Starting his career in 97, he started promoting the Jump Up style in Russia. This always positive and open person still carries the culture of broken rhythms to the masses.

He received a classical music education. He studied conducting. He also plays guitar (played death metal, hardcore, techno death, was a session guitarist.) Sound engineer, worked with many well-known musicians, both foreign (Henry Rollins Band, Young Gods, Braut schlägt im Auge), and Russian, such as: the King and the Jester, Bricks, Torba-na-Kruche, Nom, TV, Calibri, Two Planes, Brigade row, Spitfire, and others.

His creative pseudonym, the female name ZARINE, owes his love for decadence, and the eponymous name of one of his projects-ZARINE (sarin) with the crossed-out letter " E " at the end. In 1996, after playing his first ever set at the CLEO club, he decided to keep the name.

The first single, "Drunk'n'Bazz Wize", was recorded in 1999 and released as a compilation album on a no-longer-existing foreign label. This was followed by releases - "Drunk n Bass" and "Art Core", "Eazy Drums" - released on the now-defunct KDK records

Later there were releases on "Dj Parade", "World of the Drum n bass" - Dj SS took the single "GO ON" recorded together with Liza K. Audio design of the magazine "SPB. RU". Release of the album "Leading the rats". Working with Goldie, Aphrodite.

To date, singles have been released on Italian, French, German, and English labels.
