Silvio started his DJ career in Italy where thanks to local Dj competitions he quickly became renowned within the club scene in Milan by the age of 16.

Moving to London in the late 90’s he was able to compliment his Dj skills with music production and sound egineering by working for and with luminaries Cameron McVey, Nellee Hooper, James Lavelle ( Massive Attack, Soul to Soul, Mo'Wax / Unkle, Dj Shadow ) Tom Helmhirst and Ruadhri Cushnan.

As well as producing, writing and remixing as SMD, Virgin Souls and Square1.

His production credits, remixes and collaborations include Neneh Cherry, Sia, Unkle, Sugababes (Overload rmx and turntables on original & Run for cover), Siobhan Donaghy, Finley Quaye, Patrice, George Michael, Delilah Holliday (some unreleased).

At first Silvio made his name as one of London’s finest Hip Hop DJs ( as Skilz1/SMD ) with his notorious Monday night residency at Toast,The Blue Note,The End.
But due to the vast range of his musical appetite and ever expanding record collection, before you know it he was incorporating all sorts of music in his sets as a natural progression, perfecting a unique style of djing which is more of a musical journey than a rigid template based around one genre or era of music.
He is renowned in the London club scene, both for his room-tailored eclectic performances and his House and deep electronic sets which have reached the floors of the world's most notorious nightclubs, afterparties and festivals.
But especially for his infamous 10 years residency at The Box Soho which gave him total freedom and trust in creating an original sound for the club, allowing him to build confidence with thinking different.

Some highlights include playing alongside legends like Tony Humphries, A Guy Called Gerald, Paul Trouble Anderson, Pete Tong, David Morales, Layo and Bushwaka, Norman Jay, Dimitri from Paris, Rudimental, Disclosure, Crazy P, Psychemagik, Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Dixon and Groove Armada.

While on the Hip Hop, Soul, Funk and Disco tip: ASAP Rocky, Snoop Dogg, Neneh Cherry, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Sisters Sledge, Mos Def, Lucy Pearl, L-Fudge, Kelis, Lanny Kravitz, Kanye West, Wu-Tang Clan,The Kills, Grace Jones, Blondie and Grandmaster Flash to name a few.
