My name is Ian Tanner and I'm a guy who writes songs, sings, plays instruments and pushes buttons which make said music reproducible to a mass (or not so mass) audience!!  You'd like my music if you like melodic and quirky pop music - music that often has some unpredictable chord movement or unusual melodies or lyrics that make you wonder if I was kidding when I wrote that! Classically Trained in Guitar, Singer-Songwriter, Educator, Speaker, Published Writer. 

Victor fell in love with the guitar during his high school years.  His live solo performances attracted the attention of many.  Within a few years he was playing guitar and bass in bands at dance clubs in New York City.
 
A turn of events led him to study music at a conservatory in New England.  Besides the traditional course work in music theory and 20th Century composition, he studied classical  guitar and took piano and voice lessons. During this time he gained experience in choral work; he toured with the school choir and orchestra performing throughout the USA.

Over the years he has had the privilege of performing at notable places such as St. Bartholomew's, Willard Chapel (Auburn, NY), Battle Creek Tabernacle (MI), General Conference Chapel (MD), World Trade Center (Boston, MA), Women's Christian Temperance Union (Watertown, NY, Chapter), public parks, Protestant congregations and at an international interfaith convention in Washington, D.C.

In the 2000s Victor toured with the Pro Arts International Choir as a musical feature, performing with the Gypsy Rebels (profile picture) at Disneyworld (FL), Disneyland (CA), Museum of Latin American Art (CA), La Sierra University (CA), and Atlantic Union College (MA). He directed the first Classical Guitar Clinic for Pine Tree Academy for two years (ME).  He has also had the honor of having been invited for a private performance in honor of Jennifer Smith, the former Premier of Bermuda (1998-2003).

Later Victor toured New England with Bill Malia, a Christian recording artist, and performed at Soulfest 2007, the largest Christian music gathering in Gunstock Mountain, New Hampshire.  In the Midwest, he has performed in La Porte, Indiana  and two appearances at Andrews University Classical Seminary Series.  In Canada he has performed in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan. 

Until this day, his performances have been heard at live concerts or private settings.  Currently he is working on recording his first album featuring his original compositions.  It is scheduled to be out by the spring of 2019. In the meantime, enjoy his demo work on SoundCloud.

Former Lead Singer & Songwriter for Toronto 7 piece The Runaway Catholics. We released our only album in 2010. 
 A year and a half later i released an E.P entitled The Autumn Waltz in Oct of 2012. Soon after that i released a full length album entitled An Audience w/ The Winter Wolves in June of 2013.  ﻿I also recorded an acoustic E.P entitled April's Intents Towards Desire in between those 2 releases.

I have currently finished up a new E.P entitled Ecstatic Highs/Euphoric Lows which is now on my Bandcamp. I will also be playing shows to support said release. Stay tuned xoxo
