Open Into Flame
 is a meditation, a prayer and a dance for personal and collective transformation. For the past month, I have been immersed in smoke from fires burning in the mountains to surrounding my home and from the hundreds of others burning nearby here in the Pacific Northwest of Canada/USA. The burning of entire towns, homes and livelihoods has moved me into tears and into deep reflection. What is our Earth Mother asking of us in this time? This music was chosen to tell the story of my own journey into this question. It's an invitation to open into your own flame and to support releasing, transforming and welcoming new beginnings. As Bība shares so eloquently in this mix, “It’s time for a change of skin. This shedding is underway. Snake shows us that this shedding is by fire. The skin burning away is a skin full of injustices, anger and violence. [The fire] is symbolic of moving away from the old ways and making way for the new. In these flames, our anger can now be seen, our shadow revealed by the glowing light. And in this fire now, it’s time to heal. At this time of great shedding, an energy channel is open- a line of light. This line of light is our lineage. Our path to awakening. This energy is open to all beings on earth to come into alignment with the unfolding mystery of our individual and collective evolution.”

"WACOMAIA came as a gift from Spirit in a moment of deep transformation of pain into joy. The Guacamayo bird appeared and shone its light and colours into my heart, taking me into its wings on a flight through the power of the elements, the sun and moon, the earth, and Spirit-God-Conciousness, that which weaves all of life and love together in a divine dance of harmony and unity. The song sings with the energy of the Amazonian tribes, connecting to the power of joy and togetherness, as expressed by the term Wacomaia, originating from the Yawanawa tradition. 🎶 My DJ Debut at Rave Om 🎶

A proud moment for me. After 20 months of supporting and volunteering with the incredible Rave Om crew, I decided a year ago to finally pick up a set of decks and start my own musical journey.

That journey actually began all the way back in 1991, when I saw Carl Cox play at the Shirehorse in St Ives. That night, surrounded by friends and immersed in the music, something lit up inside me. From there, my love for dance music and the Rave community only grew. Over the next 4–5 years, I travelled across the UK to events like Fantazia Summertime & Castle Donnington, Universe Tribal Gathering , Vision , Perception, Dreamscape, Obsession, The Warehouse & Academy in Plymouth, Eclipse, Ministry of Sound, and so many more.

This debut set is dedicated to my best friend, Brendan—aka BadBoy—who was a DJ himself back in the ’90s until illness sadly brought his career to a stop. He always encouraged me to live life to the fullest and to follow my passion for DJing. Well Brendan, I’ve finally done it. I know you're with me in spirit. ❤️

To all the artists who’ve produced the incredible music I’ve had the honour of playing—thank you. Your work is truly inspirational and the heartbeat of this scene.
