Friends In low places

Probably my most stressful day session, as the gut holding the tailpiece snapped half way through. It was quickly replaced, but as tail gut takes 24-48 hours to fully settle, it was a nightmare compensating for the ever changing tuning. Sha Gov were a great band, and I felt honoured to be asked to impro over this track...

The weird clicks are embedded onto the tape... damage from a previous playing device or storage I guess.

A late-stage rehearsal straight to cassette for reference. Recorded shortly before going into the studio, probably at John Henry rehearsal rooms. This is Mark on guitar, Lee on drums, and myself on piano and organ (the bass was always addressed in the studio once the basic track was down, which is why it doesn't feature here).
It's best to take the 8 minutes out and listen to the end, preferably in headphones, and in a quiet space,

Castaway

Rob C is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist and producer hailing from Plymouth, UK.  Plymouth looms large in Rob’s song-writing output, with many of his songs featuring local characters – both real and imaginary – along with local landmarks and landscapes.  All that feeds into Rob's world view and out of the other end comes all this stuff. Rob performs live as either a solo artist or with his rockin' electric combo, C Force.
