Sub Basics 100% Production Mix

This mix is the polar opposite of HARD/MAXIMAL/CATHARTIC. It's a 4 channel surround sound mix of drone/ambient that I made for a session I had in my basement. I set up a speaker in each corner, invited a bunch of friends around and we all lay melting in the middle of the dark room vibrating from the bass. I love that experience. I feel so refreshed afterwards, like I've had my mind reset. It's like a spa for my brain.

It starts and ends with one of my oldest binaural recordings of rain. This was to signify the start and end of the experience - only when the rain is playing are you allowed to speak.

Probs easiest to put them on separate tracks in Ableton or whatever and route the tracks to the appropriate speakers.

So get some pillows, take a big (but responsible) dose of your favourite dissociative and disconnect from reality for a while.

Good morning, and welcome to the quietest week of the year. Did you have a good holiday? Before I sign off for the year, I think I’ve got one more gem to share with you. Here's a wonderful label showcase and a reflection on this past year from a lovely independent Valencia-based imprint, Archives, curated and operated by Agustín Mena, aka Warmth. I’ve profiled plenty of its releases since its inception in 2015, and I must admit that Warmth’s Parallel (2018) has been on repeat more than others. If anything, it is only rivalled by Glow, which is his collaboration with Fionnlagh, recently released on December 8th, 2023 (you’ll hear a few tracks on this mix). Live recording from my evening set at The Garden stage at Pachena Bay Music Festival 2024. 
Keeping it chill and deep, starting with Ambient, progressing through Dubtechno into some chill Dubstep and about halfway through the set i switch into Autonomic / Halftime / Atmospheric Drum'n'bass with deep emotive sounds from my favourite producers over the last few years.
Mostly just having fun, jamming, nothing scripted, some mixes are less desired than others, floating between moods and genres a bit. Included some of my friends tracks in there as well and some local labels too.
