Following on from Tu Sei Pazza, Daniel Monaco returns to the Bordello with the bitter taste of the TB303 on his tongue. Acid Maria smoulders with the intensity of a Belgian new beat banger circa 1989. Smoky words whisper over rusted rhythms before the fog and strobe take hold. Cold strings haunt with snaking coils of 303 squawk growing ever bolder in this intense track. The flip is divided into two very different remixes. First up is Curses who approaches the piece in his own unique way. The fanfare and frigid lines of the original are expanded. Strings come care of guitars as a bright synth wave reimaging unfolds, a reimaging with one of the most daring breaks you are likely to ever hear. Younger Than Me close. This interpretation adds a fevered tone to the original. BPMs rise and pitches are pushed while chilly notes soon balloon into a frenzy to bring a full floor energy. Three tracks born to bring brimming basements into the beyond.

Vienna's Florian Stoffelbauer is the man behind the Heap alias. He uses it sporadically to drop cultured deep techno on labels like Mechatronica and Neubau and has done for around six years now. This new long player is the first we have heard from him in almost three years but it has been worth the wait. False Hope on Canadian label Isla is slow and snaking techno with icy atmospheres and a sleek sense of futurism. It's stylish in design and heady in mood with standouts like 'Inner Peace' drawing you into a world of intrigue and mystery. The title track brings lush cosmic melodies over gentle kick patterns and somehow soothes the mind, body and soul. Nice work indeed.

Melodic Energy Commission is a Canadian gem and an interesting branch of the Hawkwind family tree (featuring Del Delmar on electronics.) Hailing from British Columbia, their unique blend of space rock, progressive and hippie psychedelia began in 1977 as a recording-only project titled "The Melodic Energy Commission of Collected Artists."

MEC quickly released two albums: 1979's "Stranger in Mystery" & 1980's "Migration Of The Snails." The music is raw and heavily exploratory, often shifting styles radically within a single track, moving from from quiet chamber orchestras to dissonant guitar freak outs with smears of analog electronics filling in gaps along the way.

"Migration Of Snails" will be released on LP / Digital on October 5th, 2018.

1/2 of Metaljackets jumped off the megazord to get his green ranger shit on. Indisa escaped the herbivorous hype herd, to slow shit down on some Fifty-Shades-of-Grey-bahton. Think about it. It's been ages since hearing some o.g. Moombahsoul out there. This is different tho, since he managed to merge this while keeping it 100 with the Metaljackets sound. Top that with vocals that remind u of those late night commercials or a more sophisticated version of the oldskool reggeton moans, it wouldn't mismatch as the soundtrack of some x-rated shit. Which reminds me of the urban legend that someone used "Sucia Anthem" on a compilation vid on Pornhub. Really tho, haha? Think a lil "shaken, not stirred"-bahton, combined with a pinch of curling-those-eyebrows-in-such-a-manner-that-it-gives-you unlimited-sophisticated-points-while-rocking-a-pencil-mustache-bahton. For me, music is a vessel to express one’s feelings. Sometimes it’s an escape from everyday life, sometimes a playground to experiment and try new things. Not every track has a deep meaning or concept but my music always reflects what state I’m in at the time of writing it.

I often draw inspiration from my talented producer friends, whose work pushes me to be creative and experimental. I also listen to a ton of music of course. I have phases where I listen to one genre more than others and I think it reflects in my music. At the moment my taste is all over the place though, from Jazz to 80s Indonesian Pop and Garage.

Patrick Conway is made of snips and snails and puppy tails. This is his second offering for the ESP Institute. On side A, 'Hypersocial' removes our minds from the daily online cesspool and pulls up emotions we haven’t felt for almost a year. We lost a Summer of dancing together en masse in clubs, fields, warehouses and pubs, but with this beautiful reminder of what true social synergy and collective ecstasy can physically feel like, the Bristolian by way of Berlin hits the nail right on the head (with a little help from his friends Quantum Thomas & Hoyahelper). Lush strings? Tick. Balmy chord progression? Tick. Ethereal vocal chops? Walloping bassline? Infectious rhythm? Goosebumps? Tears of joy? Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick! On the flip-side, 'Safety Test' is surely the tougher counterpart, the warm fuzzies are traded for a ten ton bag of grit. Here, Patrick foreshadows a sonic approach we’ll hear lot more of with his debut album early next year; a combination of abrasive rhythms, processed scraps, a grab bag of stabbing bleeps and bloops, distant car alarms, ballistic fax machines, and an arsenal of low frequencies so brutal your woofers will require jumper cables. So, a heroic slab for both a block party in your brain and sunset in your soul, these two songs will bring back the Summer you just lost.

Returning to French label Happiness Therapy is Vancouver based producer @jesse-bru, with his first LP in 9 years ! Influenced by early 90’s hip-hop’s use of samples, Jesse Bru’s sample-heavy music production style is highlighted in this diverse 15 tracks release spanning from Anthemic Summery House to Jazzy Emotional Electro.

This double vinyl album welcomes you with a dreamy opening track, leading into 3 heady raw houses tracks with jazzy keys, high paced breaks, and nostalgic trance chords. On the flip side, there are 3 breathtaking tracks ranging from soulful uplifting breaks to introspective emo electro demonstrating Jesse Bru’s extensive knowledge of a diversity of genres.

On the second vinyl we get to hear the deeper side of the release with 4 deep after hours tracks that vary from minimal dub vibes, bumping chicago house to astral drum and bass. On the reverse side closing out the LP are 4 tracks with 2 powerful female vocal driven tracks with deep melancholic grooves and an uplifting anthemic house track to finish off the LP.

The Coast LP is set for release on December 11, 2020 and will come as a double vinyl release with silver pantone cover and an exclusive holographic sticker.
