Based out of Austin, Robert Becker has a resume that includes fronting rock bands, recording solo albums, and performing and composing for an acapella ensemble. Known for being a charismatic frontman with versatile vocal stylings, the mid-nineties saw Robert rise to prominence in the Austin, TX music scene - fronting and writing for popular alternative rock band, Sunflower. Sunflower topped local charts multiple times and was one of the biggest draws in Austin over their five year span. Following Sunflower, Robert formed bands Afterglow and Relative. Afterglow was voted one of the "Best New Bands" in the Austin Chronicle. Soonafter, Robert recorded his first solo album entitled 'Evening Optimist'. Regardless of the time or place, throughout his life, Robert has continued to sing, write and perform. With a new album's worth of material ready, Robert plans to record another solo album.
