@user-138663860: Sandy, these difficult times inundate us with divisive discourse that creates a ridiculous “us and them” world.  For many of us, it is only superficially deep.  Music has the power to unite us all in something that is far deeper.  A common ground of human emotion that we can all relate to and find ourselves in, no matter what our affiliations are.  We are then in better world.

Beyond my interests in developing harmony and rhythm ideas, a song’s timbres and textures have always held a deeper emotional grip on me.
