RINSE.FM GUEST MIX FOR SHADOW CHILD [APRIL 2014]

This was my opening set for DANNY HOWELLS at the PLAY 1 Year Anniversary party at the legendary ENDUP in August 2013. This mix really does span so many genres between house and tech. I used to be cursed when it came to being recorded, always something not working out... Times like tagging w/ Burridge for 6 or 14 hours, and the recorder stopped, or my engineer fell asleep while recording, etc etc.. But the curse is OVAH! To be honest, I think it's the best set I've ever *recorded* IMO.  I humbly hope that you enjoy it as well! PEACE, LOVE & MUSIC my friends <3

Burning Man 2013 Disco Knights

I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. 

The wait time  is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the playa shrimp rose up to attempt to take over the world!! 

Burning Mud. Mudding man. Raining man. Remember the wild stories (all from the outside media or Diplo and Chris Rock) vs the kindness and generosity of strangers out on the playa. I hope, even if faced with adversity last year, maybe, just maybe, you also saw how wonderful people can be when called upon in a ‘crisis’. 

I was lucky enough to stay until Tuesday night and grateful to still get to play a sunrise on the Robot Heart albeit a few days later than planned. There was so much love in the air that (finally) beautiful morning. If you missed it or want to listen once more or are just bored and looking for something to distract you while waiting in line for this years tickets (I’ll be waiting too) then here’s burning man/mud/magic 2023.  Feel the love in the air and the tickle of playa shrimp on the soles of your feet.

"It was a warm Thursday night and I rode up with my crew to the Mayan Warrior linked up with Robot Heart and couldn’t believe my eyes. 
In 9 years of Burning Man I had never seen so many people at one party. 
I always choose to play just one event during the week at Black Rock, preferring to spend the rest of my days and nights exploring and enjoying all the various levels of this incredible experience without the hassle of running from one party to the next. And preparing for my set around 7am I sensed that this was going to be a magnificent morning. I was a little nervous but I had those good butterflies swirling and as the vermilion hue of the pre-dawn began to rise, I stepped up and played this set that you can listen to now. 
I will never forget it.
Being invited to play the Friday sunrise on both buses was a dream come true and I’d like to thank all the thousands and thousands of people that joined me for this special moment and to the dedicated heroes of the Burn that made it possible.

Lee Burridge - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2019

We’re pleased to announce the launch of The Crosstown Mix Show, a new bi-weekly mix series from Crosstown Rebels and Rebellion. Each episode will feature a different member of the label roster taking us on a mind bending journey of upfront, fresh, exclusive music.

The first instalment comes from Damian Lazarus, who explained more about the series:

'Since the beginning of the lockdown, with the inability for DJs to be heard in clubs, we thought that now was a good time to remind people about the quality of the artists we work with at the label. These mixes are a reminder that the art of DJing is still alive and kicking, even while the dancefloors lie dormant.'
