Recorded live from the ruins of an abandoned 200-year-old factory in Atlixco, Mexico for Mezcal Amores - Boda de Muertos.  This epic venue and the atmosphere of the crowd really inspired the moods captured in this set. Hope you enjoy the ride.

"Last year a big dream came true! When I was invited to play at Burning Man on the iconic Mayan Warrior Stage I couldn’t believe it. I was really nervous on the way to the playa but once I started playing and saw all these lovely people dancing and enjoying my music all the weight fell off. It was the most special and magical gig I ever played and I want to thank the whole community and everybody at the Mayan Warrior camp for making this happen. Socken mit Latschen, Kappe schief auf dem Kopf. Ob im Bademantel oder mit Discokugel - Überhaupt & Außerdem (@ueberhaupt_ausserdem) haben die Downtempo-Bubble mit ihrem ganzen eigenen Flavor versetzt. Der kommt vor allem in nasty, mit einer Note von Lässigkeit und wird abgerundet mit einer Foundation aus fetten Basslines. Also einmal einsteigen bitte, wenn unser Traumcast diesen Monaten von Edit-Promenaden über brennende techhouse Highways in den Sonnenuntergang düst. Anschnallen braucht ihr euch aber nicht bei dieser Achterbahnfahrt: jeder Drop fängt euch mit seinen geladen Grooves auf und nimmt euch mit auf die nächste Runde. Sonnenbrille auf und laufen lassen!

🦊 Wenn ihr ein Superheld wärt, welche besondere Power hättet ihr am liebsten?
(Andi) Morgens um 7 Uhr aufstehen und keinen Kaffe brauchen.


🦊 Wie entscheidet ihr was ihr auflegt, bereitet ihr Sets vor?
(Philipp) Kommt immer ein bisschen drauf an. Generell denke ich sehr viel über das Setting nach, was davor und danach passiert und wie man die Reiseleitung angeht. Nachts oder Früh (bis sehr früh). Heiter oder Gaga. Ich versuch mir das aber ein bisschen abzugewöhnen und mehr auch mal laufen zu lasssen :) 


🦊 Wie kamt ihr zum Musik machen? 
(Andi) Ich hab mit 13 die Xbox gegen ne’n 30€ e-Bass von Ebay getauscht, bester Tausch ever!
(Philipp) Mein Dad ist Orgelbauer (der Synthi des Altertums!) und quasi die gesamte Sippe singt im Chor. Da gabs keine Auswegen aus der Nummer :)


🦊 Was war euer schönster Festival Moment 2023? 
(Andi und Philipp): Für uns beide ein ganz großer Höhepunkt war Stimming live auf der Fusion. Wollte ich schon immer mal hören und, was soll ich sagen, wir waren in Dauertrance. 🧡

🦊 Worüber grübelt ihr, wenn ihr nachts aufwacht oder nicht schlafen könnt?
(Philipp) Man liegt und wälzt sich und schwitzt und denkt: Sitzt die Kick, wo sie muss? Muss ich den Bass noch mehr cranken? Ist die Hihat auch WIRKLICH crisp? Sachen ausm Leben.

Glad to have him on board finally, Leipzig based space commander Lars Christian Müller aka @whataboutlars! With an intuitive flair for the perfect mix of pumping, melodic and trippy sounds, Lars is using music to emotionally move and enthral his audience. Growing up with the synth aesthetics of the 80s and the energetic, atmospheric trance sounds of the 90s, these sonic landscapes still inspire him and are reflected in his sets to this day. With his unique style, he creates a distinct and unparalleled atmosphere right from the start of his performances. His work as a DJ, producer, event organizer and label founder has made him a sought-after name not only in his hometown of Leipzig but also beyond.

In the early 2000s, finding himself drawn to Leipzig for study of musicology. This vibrant city quickly became his haven, especially within its thriving music scene with venues like Distillery, 1040 and later IFZ. Especially the Distillery, a name synonymous with the electric pulse of electronic music. For more than 15 years, this iconic German club has been more than just four walls - it's been a canvas for innovation, a playground for his creativity, his musical living room and a home where his beats have resonated, becoming one with the rhythm of the night.

This initial connection propelled him towards larger festivals such as Sonne Mond Sterne, Love Parade, Melt Festival. National and international clubs in Berlin, Istanbul, Ankara, Krakow, Munich, Dresden and so on became the backdrop for electrifying performances, a fusion of genres that defies definition, and a sonic adventure that will leave you craving more. I had the chance to meet the Robot Heart crew twelve years ago in NYC for a giant Halloween party where I played on the ‘copy bus’. 

That was a life changing moment somehow. I realized my music could be the soundtrack for a world that’s beyond our imagination, far from my Paris studio.

In 2023, I come full circle by performing at Burning Man for the very first time with my partner Liset Alea. 

This Thursday sunset set was a moment we’ll savour for years to come.

In this live recording you’ll hear: Liset singing 30 feet above the ground from inside the blinking heart, the voices of multiple colorful creatures dancing all around us, the massive Know Audio custom sound system rumbling under our feet, the laughter of unicorns, dragons and shamans… and if you really listen carefully you might even hear the buzz of a billion stars shimmering above our head.

Memories of Robot Heart founder Geo carried us along the set. His legacy will live forever.

I like to imagine sometimes where the music will travel to. Who it will be given to or shared with. Whether it will be played at an after party in London or listened to on a set of headphones while watching the sun rise from behind a mountain in Tibet. I wonder which tracks you'll fall in love with instantly and which will grow on you as time passes. 

I know this is a really long mix and the journey into it and out the other side takes some commitment but, on the plus side, it saves you having to look for anything else to play for ages and ages.
