Having built a dedicated global fanbase with his unique blend of house music, today, Dom Dolla teams up with the equally adored and celebrated indie-electronic trio, Mansionair. The two worlds of these renowned Australian artists collide for a cinematic and kaleidoscopic journey titled ‘Strangers’, out now on Sweat It Out. With a driving beat, and Dom’s signature driving basslines, the record is amplified by the angelic vocals of Mansionair frontman Jack Froggatt - the delicate delivery conveying a sense of longing that is both raw and compelling from the outset.

Nostaligenta is a fantasy planet. A place that beckons us and lives in our dreams but we’ve never been there. For Ready In Led Nostaligenta is the image of 80’s era. She hasn’t witnessed the triumphant sound of Giorgio Moroder, the wave of British synth-pop of the new wave, but this era and it’s sound today serve as the main creative guideline for her. 

The plot of the song develops around a journey to this mysterious planet. Meanwhile, the artist’s new look is partly inspired by Barbarella. At the climax of Nostaligenta singer repeats two lines “Who can save the Universe? Who takes sex to outer space?”. These phrases were advertising slogans on the posters for the release of Roger Vadim’s movie about the adventures of Barbarella. The Ready In Led’s universe is full of such references and symbols. Welcome to the RIL Galaxy!

Stay

ROBOTIKUS is the pseudonym of producer/musician Scott Targett.

The music is influenced by the Disco, Funk, and House pioneers of the 1970’s & 80’s. It’s a fresh blend of synth-pop, fused with contagious vocal hooks, classic drum tones, and groovy guitar.

Targett has been professionally playing most his life. In 2007, his Melbourne-band, Dukes of Windsor, signed to Island/Universal records. They kept a persistent touring/recording schedule, the ‘Dukes’ made their way to the top of the Australian ARIA charts, remaining in the top 50 for 20 consecutive weeks and became the ARIA #1 club song of 2007.

Now based in Hobart, Tasmania, Scott’s focus has turned to ROBOTIKUS, of which he is responsible for a majority of the production, and also performs weekly on the local scene.
