Two Tails is a Tech House duo with influences from multiple different genres. They went through a dramatic dark emo phase when Anna tried to change the name to Two Tables last February and James wasn't having it. Now they make emo tech house like Popsicles In February in order to create art out of the dark, dramatic name change drama that unfolded. 

NYU is a spicy tech house banger with pop vocals and a story, a little less emo than the B side.

With the same level of crazy as there is business, Basura Boyz live far past their garbage name. Don’t get us wrong, that’s not to say their music is garbage. Far from it, actually. We wouldn’t be here bigging it up if it was. Not only did they drop new heat packaged neatly in a paper bag right on our doorstep, but they got Kid Enigma involved too!

The thick, fast energy of Reciprocate makes this a naughty little number. Hip house, 303's and a jacked up beat move back and forth spicing this one up hotter than a heatwave. We’re big fans of Kid Enigma here at the BoC headquarters and we collectively agree that he’s absolutely slayed this one, only adding value to an already huge record. To really bring this one to life we have two massive remixes from ZOF and Doc Brown. ZOF brings her signature sound to the track while Doc takes things back a few steps and turns this thing into a real dark groover.

This is a huge package coming in from the crew and we’re absolutely frothin' over it!

Every now and then you get sent a track which negates the need for a funny writeup. Sometimes we just need to step back and let the music do the talking, and this record makes us feel that way. 

Contribe has come through with an absolute SLAPPER of a record with El Rey! With as many syllables as it has hi-hats, it’s hard to imagine a dance floor this record wouldn’t work on. We can really see it fitting into some 'overly cool European DJ' sets, but work just as well on the shores of Florida with some button up party shirts. No pointing fingers :P 

The flip La Reina, is time to take a deep breathe, find your spot and stick there for the next 5 minutes. Weaving in and out of Amazonian flutes and insects, this gives us all the feels. It’s Summer somewhere in the world, right? 

These two records really capture what Contribe does best, and that’s locking the groove and keeping hold of you. These ones have a long shelf-life!

Slayer of skies, ruler of all, the king of kings is back yet again! One of our favourite and most exciting producers on Box of Cats, it is Ekoboy! 

His quirky charm and dad bod have really worked over time to refine these two new cuts. The a-side 'Yagea' is something straight out of Kazakhstan. Middle eastern strings, infectious percussion and I relentless vocal loop thats as mysterious as it is catchy. 

There isn't a day that goes by that we aren't excited to hear new Ekoboy music. Today is no different!

This piece was crafted as a sonic tribute to the introspective atmospheres of Depeche Mode and the melodic architecture of Tuxedomoon.
