Kicking into the first fully lockdown-free year we’ve had since 2019, the message is clear as the Knights Of Frequency bossman lays down four rump shaking grooves that have already been big flavours in the sets of Robsoul’s Phil Weeks. 
Three originals, one revision: Each cut has its own special magic and flavour ranging from the sweet swing and funky touches of the title track to the darker acid house bass elements of ‘It’s A Jazz Thing’ to the funkier nuances of ‘Step Back’. Hold tight for more of those touches as the filtered disco essence is brought right the fore on his Disco Revision, an edit so rooted in its foundation essence you could swear it actually is 1990 all over again. Heading to the south of Paris, this release is about Malakoff city in the 92nd district. We're happy to welcome the local regulars, namely Soufflé Caramel, L-e-o, Max Cohle, and Doctor Gasm, as well as the newcomers Olivier Romero and Ginko. This release is clever mix between different styles, oscillating between House and its derivatives.

Mo Funk mo fun, mo vibes, mo collabos… Robsoul regular Mo links with fellow Aussie and rising talent Alex Preston for three out-and-out top shelf jacking house bangers. Full strength grooves, monster samples and widescreen variation across the release – this has something for all stages of the night. 
‘When It Comes To Love’ breaks the ice with its sense of fun and musical mischief. A big vocal hook on loop and funk in every element, it’s an instant feel-good cut that’ll have strangers smiling to each other within seconds. ‘Let Me See You Work’ is where strangers become friends. A sublime disco trip with weaving arpeggios and a heads-down neon chug, it’s a fast-lane freak out to 2am with no stops or returns. 
‘Queen Jam’ brings us home. Back to the jack but stripped down to the bare bones with just a snippet of vox and a generous stack of percussion, there’s a great sense of momentum as the groove develops with just a smidgeon of cosmic behaviour.

Phil Weeks is a house music purist. Whether DJing or producing, the Parisian with the huge personality delivers raw beats influenced in equal measure by
classic Chicago house and nu‐school French flair, underpinned with a hip‐hop attitude. His long running Robsoul Recordings also defines him as one of the
most skilled label heads in underground house music.
In the studio Phil is dedicated to classic hardware like Akai’s MPC 3000 sampler and Roland’s TR909 drum machine. He has released more than 250 tracks and
remixes since his debut in 2000, working with labels including 2020 Vision, Music For Freaks, Brique Rouge, Detour, Adult Only and his own Robsoul, which
is responsible for the majority of his original output. 

Phil’s work can also be found in the collaborations Fries & Bridges (with Hector Moralez) and PS Project/Bubba Beats & Kid Piston (with DJ Sneak). Production highlights include Phil’s three albums ‘Love Affair’ (2011), ‘Yeah I Like That’ (2003) and ‘Raw Instrumental’ (2012), alongside style‐defining singles ‘Hypnose’, ‘It Put Me Well’ and ‘All Day Every Day’. The music has been
heavily supported by international dance press including achieving accolades such as MixMag’s and De‐Bug’s ‘Album Of The Month’, while DJs ranging from
Danny Howells and Yousef to Mark Farina and DJ Sneak consistently play his tracks. Behind the decks, Phil has racked up enough air miles to take him around the
world several times over, with appearances at the world’s leading house clubs ‐ Queen’s Club, Sankeys, Circus, Ministry of Sound, Back to Basics and Stereo are
all regular haunts, alongside his Paris residency ‘Get Underground’ at the infamous Rex Club.

Phil has also fully embraced the relationship with his fans and house music fans in general – whether through his popular ‘Underground Chronicles’ video diaries
on Youtube or his personal relationships on Facebook.
Despite his success Phil isn’t one to brag. To him it’s all about keeping proper house music alive. Which just goes to prove Phil Weeks is a house music purist.
