C’est à l’âge de 13 ans, que Kevin SCHERSCHEL tombe dans la musique grâce au groupe Front242 qui fait naître son intérêt pour la scène indus, ainsi que le groupe Skinny Puppy et son ingénieur du son, Kevin Key.
D’ailleurs à l'origine de son nom d’artiste. 

L'émergence de l'acide house ainsi que de la new beat ont éveillé en lui l'envie de communiquer par le biais de la musique.

C'est tout d’abord par le mix qu’il décide de s’engager dans cette voie. Parallèlement, il se bat pour imposer la musique électronique dans sa ville et sa région, il fait parti des Pionnniers Français des premières raves party du Sud de la France. 
En 1993, Kevin et ses amis ouvrent un bar techno en plein Nice où ont lieu des afters. 
C’est grâce à ce lieu qu’il fait de nombreuses rencontres, dont Daft Punk avec lesquels il aura l’occasion de collaborer (cf. discographie), avant même qu’ils ne soient connus de tous. 

Grâce à ses Set's, Kevin gagne en popularité ce qui l’amène à jouer auprès des plus grands DJ de la scène techno internationale. 
Il rencontre ainsi Eric Napora, fondateur du magazine Coda dans lequel Kevin est élu « Meilleur Espoir » par les lecteurs et devient résident des soirées ‘Storm’ au Rex Club (Paris). 

En 1999, il s’installe à Nîmes pour se consacrer à d'autres activités. Il ouvre d'une boutique de disques et passe à la production musicale, il prend le chemin de la création auprès de Nhar, avec lequel il fonde le duo 22 CREW.
 D’ou plusieurs maxi sortent sous le label Modélisme Records.

Et débute une collaboration avec Jennifer Cardini sur Dirt Crew. 
Après avoir exploré l'électro, il revient vers une techno minimale, aérienne et puissante, tant au niveau de ses sets que de ses productions.
Il sort  ensuite son album 22 :22 sous le label EDELWEISS et plusieurs remixes pour différents artistes. Il en enfin été la première partie de Paul Kalkbrenner lors de ses tournées Françaises et Italiennes.

Philanthropist 2.0 in his city, passionate about the electronic drive and tireless promoter in constant struggle to maintain the Galician club culture, ROI champions his passionate mission, to a large extent, being an active part of the Fanzine project, which he co-directs together with The Panic Room. 
Famous for his powerful live sessions, in his you-to-you with the audience distills a whole melting pot of rhythms waving from the light. 
Elegance and power come together in off-road tracks, full of versatility, where he moves like a fish in water within the chromatic stylistic whirlwind that he cultivates in his overwhelming sonic laboratory. 
In the songs that define the path sown in his sessions, we can see his personal revolution: from rural isolation to the return to the urban barricades of rhythm. There is no truce in experiences loaded with beats, sharpened to the bone and drunk with narcotic atmospheres. 
This ambition is nourished by a body of work tiled with obsessive detail, drawn with the desire to expose the emotional grooves of his rich stylistic palette. Achievements of a trajectory that has yet to leave noteworthy new chapters written in a not too distant future.

Rob Zile's first EP was released in September 2009 on Artefekz Muzik.  Following this EP many doors were opened; from being asked to remix other artists to forging great relationships with other dj’s, producers and record labels from around the world.  It also gave him the opportunity to play his first international gig at the WMC Techno Marathon in Miami in 2010, sharing the bill with artists such as Perc, Spektre, Oliver Giacomotto and many more.

Rob hosts a radio show called ‘Brain Food Radio’ on Kiss FM Dance Music Australia every Tuesday night from 10pm to 11:30pm AEST/AEDT. 
‘Brain Food Radio’ showcases thought-provoking electronic music and is curated for people who want more than just the hits and the big names.
'Brain Food Radio' has been on the Kiss airwaves since 2013. 

In 2018, Rob took the next logical step and launched his own label 'Brain Food Records.'   @brainfoodrecords

Rob's productions have been supported by The Black Dog and Mike Humphries and they have received positive feedback by Hybrid, DJ 3000, David Meiser, DJ Pierre, Lucien Foort, DJ Hyperactive, King Unique and Colin Dale among others.  Rob has supported a list of international artists such as: DJ Hell, James Zabiela, Dave Seaman, Guy J, Skream, Artwork, DJ T, Guy Mantzur, Eelke Kleijn, Joe Brunning, DJ W!ld, Drumcomplex, Sebo K, Tim Engelhardt and more.  He has completed three seasons as the house DJ, musical director and occasional actor on TV show ‘Planet UnEarth’ and his remix of Tony Kanwischer - Moonhalo appeared in an episode of '60 Minutes' on Channel Nine on prime-time Australian TV in April 2015.
