This is a song I wrote by way of fan-service to Simon Viklund, the incredible videogame composer behind the soundtrack to Payday 2. His signature style of varied drum patterns, constantly fresh, pressure-driven music and his excellent sense of space have all inspired me to shamelessy copy him to produce this track. All credit to him, really, and long may he continue to do great things within the industry.

The NecroDancer fight is an excellent example of electronic music at its best. 

I was actually surprised to see that FamilyJules7x came out with a metal version of this song, even though Aria technically killed the NecroDancer so there's no point in having a NecroDancer theme for her soundtrack. (I mean what? No spoilers here!)

Crypt of the NecroDancer: MEGAMIXED is a remix (or remash) album dedicated to the amazing producers of the Crypt of the NecroDancer Soundtrack! 

Each and every song of COTND (well, except for some bosses and Amplified) has been carefully remixed and remastered by 6 music artists or groups: A_Rival, FamilyJules7x, Virt, Chipzel, Girlfriend Records, and Overclocked Records: each with their own individual styles and genres. 

Crypt of the NecroDancer: MEGAMIXED combines all 7 soundtracks of the game into one seamless piece of music by playing each remix at specific times. For example, Virt and Chipzel both use a chiptune approach to the soundtrack, so they will appear together very often.

Theme Of Wargroove

A from the ground up take on one of my favorite themes in Doom Eternal! It starts off with motifs from the general ambient Urdak music, and transitions to sections based off the battle theme: "Paradise Lost" in the second half. This entire project was very challenging, and at many points proves how amazing Mick Gordon is at creating wonderful soundscapes in the original version. So much so that even despite running it through my own style, trying to keep up with even a sliver of the original's quality was endlessly intimidating.
It kept me up so many nights on end just trying to find an approachable angle. But at the end of the day, these remixes are for fun, so If my version feels like a forgettable novelty, then its no big deal. I do hope if Mick ever stumbles across this, he at least gets a kick out of it.
