Solid Grooves favourite Blackchild is the next to land on Hot Creations with the Groove Dealer EP. The three track release serves up heavy-duty club rollers, moulding Blackchild’s early influences with a contemporary flare. 

Title track Groove Dealer kicks off proceedings with a heavy sub-bass and chopy hats as melodic brass tones add the key ingredient. Siempre is next up, following suit with elevating brass notes, punchy percussion and dreamy synths. Rounding off the EP, Inmydreams is a deep and dark cut built for the late night hours, ignited by the blissful and hypnotic vocals. Blackchild reveals that "this upcoming EP on Hot Creations represents exactly what my sound is. The inspiration for these tracks come from all the old Jazz and Motown records I used to listen to growing up, with a modern Blackchild touch." 

Originally from a small island in the gulf of Naples called Ischia, Blackchild is the artist name for Italian artist Gennaro Filisdeo. Heavily influenced by his father‘s record collection, he grew up listening to Hip-Hop, RnB, Disco and old school House music. He began to produce at the age of eighteen, but it was in 2019 that Blackchild joined the Solid Grooves roster, which led him to play at statement venues and festivals such as Printworks London, Auditorium Torremolinos Malaga and ADE Festival. 2020 saw chart success with his track Sexy Thing going straight to #2 in the Beatport Top 10 Tech House Chart and #5 in the Overall Top 10 Chart. 2021 looks set to continue in the same direction with a busy release schedule on the way.

UK duo MANT make their Solid Grooves debut with the energy-charged 'No Turning Back'.

With a selection of productions spanning the house sphere, London-based DJ/producer pairing MANT continue to showcase their varied sound and style. Arriving straight from their recent collaboration with US Garage icon Todd Edwards and building on 2022's releases schedule with music via Saved, ORIGINS, VIVa MUSiC and more, they close out March with a first appearance on Solid Grooves in the form of their new single, 'No Turning Back'.

Hannah Wants unveils Ghetto EP on DFTD, a return to her edgier, bass-heavy roots with two distinct tracks designed for the club. Hannah’s trajectory throughout 2023 was signposted by performances at flagship events including Defected Croatia, Defected’s Australasian Tour and The Warehouse Project. In 2024, her collaboration with Sam Divine and Jem Cooke, ‘Cruel Intentions’, kicked off the year before Hannah appeared on the ambitious livestream celebrating 25 years of Defected with 25 titan DJs playing B2B in 2024. After a string of releases showcasing her more emotive side on the London house label, Hannah Wants now returns to the bass house sound she helmed for over a decade, releasing Ghetto EP on sister label DFTD. The first of two deeper, headsier cuts, ‘Ghetto’ offers relentless club energy, with deep, percussive synths that hammer away underneath expressive audio sampling. ‘Let The Beat Talk’ follows, featuring frequent Plump Records collaborator Baby Luck on cool vocals, with its hard and tough sound shaking the floor as high frequency synths bubble overhead.

Jamie Jones joins forces with New York’s David Berrie for an electrifying two track release on Hot Creations. Doctor Zouk is the result of a friendship spanning many years, and is set to be unleashed this Autumn.

Title track Doctor Zouk is a bumpy, chuggy roller with a prominent percussive break and heady tribal undertone. Future Society uses thumping drum pads over a growling bassline with unmistakable high hats weaved together over futuristic synths.

Jamie Jones is one of the industry’s most in demand and recognised DJs. He heads up one of Ibiza’s most treasured parties, Paradise at DC10, and now takes it to all corners of the globe. His revered Hot Creations imprint has put out more than one hundred releases as well as playing a major part in launching the careers of Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed and Detlef.

Spending his formative years in New York, sneaking into the city’s diverse and flamboyant nightclubs and heavily influenced by a broad spectrum of genres, it wasn’t long before David Berrie took to the turntables. He released on Jones’ Hottrax label last year and has had a number of releases on Nervous and Monique Sp é ciale. He commands regular slots at BPM festival as well as at the Paradise nights.

Manchester-based producer Mason Maynard is welcomed to Hot Creations to present McLovin’, featuring two tracks of equal magnitude that display his vibrant talent. Mason’s debut release on the formidable label is set for release on 10th April.

On the flip, the spellbinding Remedy features a snaking sub-bass complemented perfectly with the powerful vocals of Ursula Rucker. “In its original form the song featured an old acapella from Ursula, but when we were put in touch with each other we knew we wanted to create something completely fresh.”

Mason Maynard has already built himself an exceptional reputation, with his groove led productions backed by some of biggest names in the business including Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Green Velvet, Skream and Seth Troxler. His releases on Repopulate Mars, DFTD, Sola and Relief (where he has collaborated with Green Velvet) have been supported heavily on BBC radio. In 2019 he toured the world, with sets at EDC, Hideout, Creamfields and also across Ibiza during the summer. Praised homecoming gigs took place at Manchester’s Warehouse Project and in front of 15,000 in the Hangar at Parklife Festival. 2020 will see Mason go from strength to strength as he continues to tour the USA and announces his new FANTAZIA label. Working alongside USA electronic music heavyweights Insomniac, FANTAZIA is inspired by early acid and raving culture with a debut release dropping on 6th March.
