STRiCKLAND is a new name to look out for this year, the London based DJ/Producer has already gained attention from the likes of Steve Lawler, Santé, Weiss and Nicole Moudaber. Having already toured across the UK, Europe and Asia this year he’s evolved a new sound that he unleashed earlier this year remixing Pandora Drive’s ‘Unoriginal Sin’.

The title track from this EP ‘Landor’ found it’s way into Steve Lawler’s Rekordbox back in May,  becoming a secret weapon for the festivals that has been causing a stir in his sets world wide. It follows that Steve asked to hear more material culminating in the collation of the three tracks that comprise this release.

‘Landor’ is a hypnotic builder with an infectious arp line over a thumping low end and verby organ pads, upon listening it is easy to see why Steve hailed it as a bomb for the festivals. Next up ‘Say What?’ is a hard hitting chunky club affair with relentless percussion and a bassline that takes no prisoners. ‘Revolver’ completes the package on a groovy tip, employing a reverb drenched synths and soulful vocal snippets to counterpoint the sizzling percussion and bring the EP to a conclusion.

Hitting half may in elrow Music and we’re bringing you the second EP of this month, by one of the finest Spanish talents of the genre, Javi López. The Malaga-born DJ and producer enters the roster of artists delivering bangers to elrow Music imprint with this ‘Rawness EP’, a three-tracker filled with summer vibes to ease the eager wait for the kick start of the season. This extended play opens with the track naming it, ‘Rawness (Original Mix)’, a song with a playful hip-hopish vocal line, great horn-like sound FX and a tight percussion, expressing that rough vibe, trademark of elrow’s latest deliveries. Following we find ‘With Me (Original Mix)’, a track that starts with a strong percussion, slow but steady, with synth lines that drive the narrative of the track along the hi-hats, also having mental sound FX, that reaches its peak time by the middle of the track, just as anyone who wants to tear apart the dancefloor would do. Finally, closing the EP we have ‘Hat Folder (Original Mix)’, another track that Javi starts with playing with the vocals, a true tech-house percussion pattern and that playful horns and sirens you expect from peak times on any elrow dancefloor madness. The sound FX fit perfectly with the rest of the elements, making this a true banger by own right. Resuming, a great ERM104 reference by Javi López, who has managed to interpret to perfection what elrow Music is all about! Enjoy!
