LTD001 is the result of a joint project by Not A Headliner and Marcos F. The work synthesizes three productions based solely on a live hardware sound. 

Limited edition of lathe cut vinyls, done by Disc Archive Berlin.  All the productions have been mastered by Manuel Cano at Manual Studio.

Para cerrar el mes de mayo tenemos a PERKLESS EDUCATION (@pedro-fernandez-7344980), un joven dj de origen granadino, fundador y residente de @quick-time-events, y afincado en Madrid.

Manteniendo la constancia con el desarrollo  su colectivo, pero sin dejar de lado la oportunidad de abrirse su propio hueco en la escena; lo hemos visto tocando en salas de Granada como Industrial Copera (El Jardín), Moonback, o Planta Baja entre otros, y recientemente en Madrid (Specka, Muv, Studio76).

Amante de los ritmos rápidos, fanático de la percusión, los sonidos noventeros y las vocales o melodías más bailongas, define su estilo como una mezcla entre lo mental y los sonidos destinados al baile con sets transitorios de cambio constante centrado en que la pista se mueva. La mezcla de melodías atonales con vocales repetitivas, percusiones muy marcadas y pistas que nos transportan a otra época es el cóctel que nos suele preparar.

Nos trae una sesión para viajar por todos los rincones de la música que más le gusta, un repaso por un techno más atmosférico y mental, pasando por su lado más gamberro y divertido.

On August 4th he will be out again on his own imprint Sticky Ground, this time with a remix for Another Alias. The EP is called Oddmono and his remix is a hard techno track with industrial sounds and a groovy bassline. Between his productions and his DJ sets, küetzal never fails to impress! ROIRO Mix Series #006 - Mark Shephard

A multi-capable DJ and dawless live performer, Mark Shephard’s style is defined by a
preference for rough drum machine grooves and thick analog synth lines. The hallmarks of his
mixing style are transparent, interactive blends and creative sequencing of subgenres.
After studying sound design and synthesis in college, Mark honed his DJ skills in the clubs and
basements of Brooklyn before relocating to Tokyo in 2022. Currently he is an organizer of the
Acid Gakkou party in Shibuya, frequent guest DJ at Circus Tokyo for the Ensite series of parties,
and performs live regularly in Tokyo with hardware drum machines and synthesizers.

For this weeks Groove Estate Sessions, we're joined by label alumni Heather Helix! Strap in for an hour of hard hitting trance and techno selections you'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere 🔥

Heather Helix is a Poznań based DJ with background in classical music. Her adventure started after winning mix contest organized by Oramics collective in 2019. Since then, she regularly appears at local clubs, but she also played in Transformator, Cel, Prozak 2.0 and Szpitalna 1. Usually serves multi-genre sets containing techno, electro, trance and acid. Her record collection is dominated by arpeggiators, Roland TB-303, as well as processed vocals and melodic leads.

Groove Estate Sessions 021: Heather Helix

@Catartsis (aka Mathieu Bonnafous) is an artist based in Paris. With a background in sound engineering, he discovered concrete music through his studies, which greatly influenced his work. This led him to explore the practice of field recording, which is now the foundation of his creative method. Catartsis confronts the sounds offered by our industrial and natural environment in his organic productions. His search for unique rhythms and textures allows him to create atypical sound pieces that blend genres, borrowing from the English electronic scene, early 2000 and current techno, as well as the new French industrial techno scene. He tries to integrate these trends into his DJ sets, bringing a wide range of sound to dancers and listeners. He co-directs the independent label ygam with Ōtone, on which he released his three latest solo EPs, "Sombre, l’égoïque," "Acier Leste," and "Les résonnantes." Alongside Ōtone, they also released a split EP, "Mechanical Gesture," on OBSCUUR records.

“ROIRO” releases the compilation album “MANUAL” composed by 7 tokyo-based techno producers to celebrate the label’s 1st anniversary from “ROIRO Electronics”.

From ROIRO those three, “Golpe Mortal” who agitates the dance floor with a sharp percussion and a heavy groove, “KOSEI” who bouncily spins modern, uptempo and powerful beats, “the2$” who plays out an unique view of the world with a juicy bass sound and a disturbing melody with a sense of tension, are joining this VA.
Moreover, including four artists, “AKIRA FLAMMA” who mixes emotional and ravey sampling/collage with melancholy synthesizers and intense beats, “Jiho” who leads to the trip by minimally repeating layers of inorganic sounds, “MAYUDEPTH” who presents an alternative techno coexisted with a deep sound image and dirtiness, “ROTTENLAVA Ⅱ” who drives your passion with rough yet melancholic riffs and coldly repeated beats, a total of 7 producers, created this VA.
The piece which represents the Tokyo techno scene now has been created by the resonance of seven sensibilities.

The fashion party is (almost) over. The penultimate chapter of Social Distancing is a dim exploration of EBM, techno and electro. At times fast and intrusive, on others poetic and contemplating, all five tracks share a liking for the dark side of the dance floor.

C12 is a multidisciplinary nightclub and platform run by the Deep in House collective, located in the heart of Brussels. It's a safe place where freedom, diversity, creativity and alternative culture are protected from the restrictive and normative outside world. The project was launched in February 2018 and includes concerts, art installations, lives, club nights and exhibitions.

The Corona crisis is keeping our doors closed and dancefloor empty for several weeks now, with no hopes yet on new line-ups and crowds of enthusiastic dancers. But this unprecedented situation isn’t holding us still. Continuing to support our local Brussels and Belgian electronic music scene, C12 is proud to announce its own label with 10 music compilations dubbed Social Distancing. All artists involved are Belgian or strongly connected to the Brussels scene. Confirmed are Le Motel, Stellar OM Source, A.Brehme, Front De Cadeaux, Davy, OCB Casa Voyager, Cabasa, Techno Thriller, Orphan Swords, Different Fountains, Bear Bones Lay Low, Gols, Hadone, ... and our residents Session 4000, Kafim & Chris Ferreira. Compilations will also be curated by female artists promoting platform ‘Psst Mlle’ and queer culture collective ‘Benediction’.

Each edition consists of a collection of several tracks and will be released every two weeks, leading to a total of approximately fifty tracks. All music will be available to add on your favorite streaming service Soundcloud, Youtube, Spotify (coming soon) and Bandcamp. In addition for each track we offer a limited amount of 500 free downloads through our Bandcamp page, where donations are also enabled for those who wish to support us and the artists involved.
