"FOUDRE! emerges as a rare seismic force created in 2015 by three major activists from the independent scene: Frédéric D. Oberland (Oiseaux-Tempête), Romain Barbot (Saåad), and Paul Régimbeau (Mondkopf). They are portrayed by international press as "super-depth sounders", "laboratories of the unheard generating a fascinating sonic magma with rugged beauty", or "Badalamenti and Vangelis covered in dust and gravel". Their collective ethos is characterized by an insatiable appetite for urgency, boundless experimentation, and the spontaneous combustion of live performances.

"Melancholic. Intense. Deep. Epic. “Voltæ (Chthulucene)” is a tribute to electricity and telluric forces, a complete celebration of life, a symbiosis for an epistemic shift. “Voltæ (Chthulucene)” is the sixth opus by FOUDRE!, a trio featuring core members from Oiseaux-Tempête, Saåad & Mondkopf. 
As the first work recorded in studio, “Voltæ (Chthulucene)” is the virtuosic result of a recording session orchestrated by Camille Jamain, sound engineer and acoustician. The album emerges as a powerful electronic masterpiece, consisting of 8 tracks whose narrative dimension evokes the score of a sci-fi movie, transporting us through the labyrinths of a neo-Lovecraftian vision, into a post-AKIRA world where human and non-human life could (re)become possible, where all forms of (sur)living beings could cohabit once again... 

Since their purely exhilarating experience at the Visions Festival in 2019, FOUDRE! has undergone a delightful metamorphosis. The creative forces of the three-headed monster get unleashed. The musicians seek less the mental than the physical, embracing a frantic, corporeal, and direct turn. With “Voltæ (Chthulucene)”, the trio, identified as drone ambient, takes a twist resolutely post-techno. Emancipatory alloy of English rave, punk urgency, and electronica, with strange and electrifying echoes of ancient trad sounds. Hybrid and telepathic orchestra, composed of analog synthesizers and modular systems organically connected to acoustic instruments (baglama, winds, percussion, vocals), forming a kind of neural network twinkling at the heart of the night. 

Between contemplation, lightning flashes and illumination : the pulse, the rhythm. Hallucinated time fraction, progressing through a 3D landscape, stroboscopic and technicolor effects. A tale of struggles and resistances on universal and microscopic scale, images of cybernetic fauna and flora, a psychedelic futuristic delirium where hybrid characters of human/machine/vegetable could start to dance, mutate, and merge within everything around them. 

An intensity, an elegance reminiscent of Pita’s records on Editions Mego, the originality and intelligence of the music of Autechre, the legendary electronic abstract duo from Manchester, the energy and fervour of Black Dice, the technoid noise rock trio from Brooklyn, as well as the softness and beauty of the Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. 

The album cover is signed by Brulex, featuring creatures and chimeras, with a concrete and colorful stroke, in correspondence with the album and the U-turn of FOUDRE!, decisive and brilliant."

EPISODE VII ‘DISSONANCE’

- I walk through the streets of this vast metropolis, losing myself in its many
sounds. Street after street, the buildings, like enormous guardian demons
clad in multi-coloured screens, watch my every step, our every step. This
crossing I’m about to take is filled with hundreds upon hundreds of people at
every moment of the day, and I move in unison with them, creating a single
harmony. Right, left, a glance at my mobile, I keep going.

- But this time, I notice a shadow, just beside the traffic light pole on the
opposite side. It moves in sharp, jerky motions, out of sync—right, left—a
fraction of a second too soon, or too late. It catches my attention. A second
ago it was blurred, now ultra-clear—a regular woman, dark hair, grey clothes;
she could be me on a dreary November afternoon, leaving work. And yet, her
unsynchronised movements and unstable form hold my gaze. As I stare, she
lifts her eyes and locks onto mine. Hypnotised, I stop on the zebra crossing,
while the human river flows around her. Moving slowly but still in those
irregular jerks, the woman comes closer. Nearer and nearer, a feeling of
unease fills me, yet I cannot take a step forward. Now she’s here, right in front
of me. Her pupils fixed on mine vibrate almost imperceptibly at an intense
frequency, yet with no order. Suddenly, she seizes my hand. “Dissonate.” I
blink, and she’s gone.

- The light is about to turn red, and the last pedestrians are hurrying across. I
hurry too, but feel both heavy and weightless. The world flows around me,
and I am out of step. People extend their strides in slow-motion steps, yet
somehow impossibly fast. I feel as if every movement of mine is submerged
in water with opposing currents. The sound of the traffic light becomes
piercing, then low; the sky brightens, then dims, as if its exposure control has
gone mad. I can no longer tune myself to any rhythm. Days pass both quickly
and slowly, leaving deep yet faint marks I can no longer decipher. And
yet—do I want, or not want, to resonate with it?

After twenty years at the center of the electronic scene, the enigma that is Chloé still stands. While Chloé has long transcended her image as the “DJette” behind legendary club night Pulp, headlining the Rex as well as clubs and festivals throughout Europe, Endless Revisions represents yet another deviation from rigid genre classification, deepening the often-linear perspectives on current music. A rich and multi-faceted work, the artist’s captivating third album drifts from one mystery to the other, harkening back to philosopher Theodor W. Adorno’s maxim: “the task of art today is to bring chaos into order.”
Seven long years in the making, the follow-up to One in Other is only the third full-length by the artist, whose high standards translate into scarcity: “I did wait a while to make this album,” she confirms, “because I prefer not to impose deadlines on the full-lengths. To do so would stifle my creativity. Over the past few years, people have come up to me with interesting collaborations. I composed the score for Lidia Terki’s feature Paris La Blanche, worked with the Ircam for a live interactive installation, reinterpreted Steve Reich with percussionist Vassilena Serafimova... These opportunities forced me to leave my studio and encounter other people’s universes, which allowed me to grow. So today, I feel like I have new things to express.”
The time felt right for the producer to come up with a new opus: “the label was born out of a desire for emancipation, for self-assertion. Lumière Noire was the push to finish this new full length.” This third LP serves up Chloé’s music in its finest form – music that eschews the well-trodden paths of delight and seduction in favour of an experimental sensibility that puts motion before emotion. The title, Endless Revisions, refers to the constant work that goes into the gestation of the artist’s inner landscapes before they can be displayed for the audience. This sensory experience also serves as a mirror that she hangs for herself, each resulting track providing another step toward emotional equilibrium.
The idea with this new label, this new album, is to look towards the future.  This album represents who I am now, as I’m opening up to new horizons.”

Roll the Dice are happy to announce the 4th outing in their series of musical ”meetings”.In this collaboration they hook up with jazz trumpeter Goran Kajfes (Oddjob, Subtropic Arkestra) for another venture into unchartered territory.”This is our take on Jazz, where we wanted the free spirit in composition and playing to meet the somewhat static and rigid experience of programming and sequencers.To tie it all togeheter, artist Fabio Almeida has provided yet another fitting piece of art for the cover.
