Following the same pattern as its initial two releases, WWW is back with EP004 in a shape of a remix pack: retaining two remixers from the previous pack and introducing two new names on the bill. Both Hong Kong via Nantes Romain FX and Vilnius italo adept Black Feeling delivered massive remixes in the first pack and boy they don't disappoint yet again. Romain has totally reworked the track and infused it with exotic oriental sounds and Black Feeling hits all the marks once again with his signature feel-good italo house vibes.

Since Blaise Balda has already released one EP on Rees' Paradiso Records, it was natural to ask Adam for a remix. Middlesbrough talent shines agent hitting all the right notes and keeping the vibe joyous and the energy pure.

Last but not least are Berlin's italo duo Sauvage World from Slow Motion/Wrong Era fame. Guys are raising the tempo up to 125, tweaking a few bits here and there and adding just a little bit extra of their own magic to make it sound like a proper italo banger for not-so-wrong era we all find ourselves in.

Facets brings the release in with a dark, EBM:ish edit of Der whilst Manao then moves us over to a grittier, ghettotech:ish electro piece with Jane. From there we have recurring face for many, RFX, who does his usual brilliance on his take of Ambition. Our third and final new face, Ecar, then takes the relay baton and keeps the race going with Propaganda. Both tracks work in the sphere of where you want to kickstart the party to the next gear. We round off with our home team trio, where Miro-Benji and Stuster show their heavier, 4am sounds on Sonic 3D (yes… that Sonic) and Universal Music. Aaron Maple then puts the finishing touches with his signature sound on his Hot Day In Istanbul edit.

French disco and electro house maestro Blazers returns to Skint Records with ‘Traffic Lights’ released on 4 February - the first delicious taster of his forthcoming ‘Live At The Fitness Room’ EP, out the following month. 

Perfectly capturing a balmy 1980’s night drive, surrounded by the city skyline, glistening streetlights, and swaying palm trees, Blazers describes ‘Traffic Lights’ as being “heavily influenced by Hi-NRG songs, Italo-disco and synth wave remixes such as Lifelike’s famous track ‘Heatwave’”. The looping synths and pulsating piano chords shimmer throughout, accompanied by the uplifting female ‘80s vocal sample of Shirley Lites ‘Heat You Up’ (West End), presenting a warm and vibrant feel-good fusion of deep house, disco, and electro. 

Blazers ‘Live At The Fitness Room’ EP will be released on Skint Records on 4 March. 

Blazers, aka Timothée Suillaud, is a Paris-born multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ. Growing up surrounded by music, Blazers quickly focused on production and DJing, getting his first gigs in Parisian bars. He then released several EPs on French local labels, while playing around clubs and festivals. Blazers’ track ‘Side2Side’ caught the attention of British labels, which led him to sign a recording deal with Skint Records. Blazers has since released on GLBDOM, Berlin House Music, and Nymphony Records. ‘Side2Side’ (Skint Records) was released in 2019, supported by Annie Mac, Pete Tong, MistaJam, Ashley Beedle, Sister Bliss, and Claptone, amongst many others.

Back In Time

After 2 years & being played by infamous names such as The Blessed Madonna, Horse Meat Disco, Tim Sweeney, Carista, Peach, Orpheu The Wizard, Ben UFO, Rune Lindbaek, Dicky Trisco, Double Dancer and the list goes on… Canto Club is back!

From party people with shoulder pads, big hair, white Rolls-Royces, panama hats, the Fragrant Harbour that is Hong Kong had a very unique Hotel / Clubbing scene before places like DD’s, Canton Disco and Hot Gossip opened their doors.

These Discotheques were a place of creativity, panache and mischief of the era. They were all destinations of desire.

For this edition, we have a special duo called Running Hot which is making waves on the web for digging obscure gems alongside our head honcho RFX. This compilation of 8 edits from the harbor.
We have lots of glitter in this one and the usual funky percussive grooves very unique to Cantonese music.

Rising Bristol talent @senorchugger serves up a huge remix here for his pal @remiwanless on @alandixonmusic's @loveattackrecords that pushes all the right button. Blending elements of Italo with a techno sensibility and all filtered through a super-widescreen production sheen, his feisty retro synth work creates a dynamic atmosphere through a relatively simple melodic structure.
