Paradice

The News – Somewhere in space. At the distance we can’t see. At a speed we’ve yet to comprehend, something was heading our way. Fear. Panic. Chaos. TV, radio broadcasts and newspapers did their work of spreading the news. And fast. Within minutes, almost everyone had heard the news. This unexpected, impending doom immediately changed the world. 
There are different ways to react at a time like this. Priorities changed for most. For some, bucket lists became were being checked off sooner than later. For others, looting, rioting and stealing. Soon after, war. If it didn’t happen yet, it was bound to happen based on new ethics. Then there were those who tried to make amends with the time that they had left but it was hard for anyone to find peace in such a dark time.  
Couples, Families and the lonely all heard the news. The news was all anyone can talk about. The news was the only thing to talk about. The end was near. Impact was inevitable.

Today's challenge was to work on D Phrygian. I did this in two ways today (hence two tracks). 

In this first track, I used iReal Pro to make a ii V7 I progression backing track  in C, to practice D-Phrygian on the ii.

From egg, to Vinata, Aruna, Vishnu and the Nagas, to the elixir, how could Garuda be so privileged? Is he dreaming and for how long? Strength, guilt, flight, fear, family, eternal suffering, friends, confusion and the Amrita; all of Garuda’s life flashed before his eyes. Garuda realized that he can’t be sleeping, for he can never rest. Like any good super hero, Garuda must continue to soar in the name of all that is good and true without considering the cost.

A Nightmare Come True

Garuda fears that though he is eternal that his source of flight may one day cease to exist. For Aruna, living without legs, one can still soar to serve the sun. But for Garuda, how would he serve Vishnu’s mission of truth by crawling through the dirt?
