My father passed away today 18th Feb 2022. The last few months were particularly hard for him and he just wanted to die.  This song is one of a few I wrote as catharsis. Sometimes we can live too long when quality of life has gone.

- I had written quite a few poems and I took this one out and rewrote it and set it to music. 
It is a hymn to love, the love that was before, during and especially after, because love is universal and without limits, for eternity.

- J'avais écrit pas mal de poèmes et j'ai pris celui-là, je l'ai réécrit et je l'ai mis en musique. 
C'est un hymne à l'amour, l'amour qui était avant, pendant et surtout après, car l'amour est universel et sans limites, pour l'éternité.

Perhaps best known by Roberta Flack’s beautiful recording, this song was written by Irishman Ewan MacColl back in the 50’s. I recorded this on my iPhone VoiceMemos and simply added a harmony later. It’s a straight forward, simple acoustic interpretation of these lovely lyrics of love.
